which one is better? (for starcraft 2 and maybe diablo 3)

I would personally go with Asus because they have a much better reputation for hardware quality. Either of them will satisfy the purpose of web browsing and word processing.
|
what about starcraft 2,Dota 2, diablo 3 playing? which one will have better performance? :o
|
Those laptops cannot play those games. Maybe Diablo 3 at minimum settings, but you will be getting pretty low FPS.
|
well... i had an asus k40ij not long ago and i played sc2 on medium with 25 fps round 60 on low and a friend of mine plays sc2 on his hp 430 @medium on 40 fps planning on getting something better later on but, for now this is what i can get.
|
Respectfully, I would take none of them and search for a third option. The Cpu isnt really the best and there is no dedicated gaming GPU on either of this Laptops. I consider the IntelGPU to be an office graphics card. If you really want to use this laptop for playing games, save up more money.

its not a matter of saving my money :l both laptops are on my desk right now, and only 1 is staying

Definately keep the asus, but don't expect to do a lot of gaming on either. I'm surprised if you can run either game smoothly.
|
You would actually be surprised at how many games you can run on computers like these at minimum settings.
For your case, I would say keep the Asus. It is every so slightly better specs-wise, btu much better brand-wise. It will last you longer and have a higher resale value in the long run.

I would like to see how on earth it is possible to get above single digit fps on these rigs... It just doesn't add up...
ANDDDDDD here's why: sc2 on low at low res on the asus (the other one was far worse):
FPS: 11 Laptop: 630-LH384EA Intel Pentium P6200 2.1GHz Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics (474MHz)(542MHz) 4096MB RAM
FPS: 26 Laptop: Satellite C660-10E Intel Pentium P6100 2GHz Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics (500MHz)GDDR3, 8.15.10.2189 4.096 MB RAM

Um yeah, gl hf with that. ~20 fps avg is not remotely playable.
EDIT: I'd like to know how the second one has gddr3 ram, given it's an integrated chip? This would partially explain the vast difference in results.
