UKSCL Season One - Groups, Schedules & Rules
Groups: http://binarybeast.com/xSC212072815
There are 22 groups (A-V) of 10 players, seeded on a random basis. The emphasis of this is to ensure every player gets a fair chance. The top 3 players of each group will go through to bracket play.
We have invited any caster who would like to get involved to cast any match they would like. If you are chosen by a caster, please work with them to arrange your match. They will be contacting you a week before your scheduled match is set to happen. Casters may either cast live on stream or via on demand (YouTube) We will also be arranging a weekly show on Sunday with the featured caster of the week so we will be in touch ourselves.
Players are expected to idle in the "UKSCL" channel on Battlenet ingame. This will help us find you and provide support along with you arranging your matches.
Schedule:
Matches must be played on a weekly basis by the following dates for each round:
Round 1: 16/09/2012 Round 2: 23/09/2012 Round 3: 30/09/2012 Round 4: 07/10/2012 Round 5: 14/10/2012 Round 6: 21/10/2012 Round 7: 28/10/2012 Round 9: 04/11/2012 Reschedule Week: 11/11/2012
Please ensure you stick to this schedule, you are NOT allowed to play all your matches in 1 week. Players are responsible
You will be given 1 week after Round 9 to play any rescheduled matches. Matches remaining at the end of the season that have not been played by the end of the week will be defaulted as a 0-0 result. If your opponent isnt replying, please report your result as a 1-0 win.
Maps:
The 1st map of each group match will be chosen on a Veto basis by each player. The loser will then pick the next maps. The map pool is as follows:
Map Pool
GSL Daybreak Atlantis Spaceship GSL Antiga Shipyard GSL Cloud Kingdom GSL Entombed Valley GSL Metropolis GSL Ohana Whirlwind
Brackets will begin on 12/11/2012 - further details to be announced closer to the time (including some exciting news about a possible lan final ) As already stated, the final prize for the 1st prize winner of the brackets is £200.
If you have a problem or have any questions, please use the UKSCL Forums at http://www.ukscl.tv to let us know.

| Must the vetoes for the first map be done on the day of the match? Or can you contact the other player to agree on the first map early on in the week so you have time to practice? |

Three.
And dave, you need to add or remove a map from the map pool, otherwise the veto system doesn't work! One player will get an extra veto |

| What do you do if the information your opponent provided as their character code and name is wrong? There's someone in my group who I can't add and when I google his name it says the account is on the US battlenet. |

It's later. I'll wait and see, but it's still odd. |

If non-UK players are a concern, there are quite a few in the brackets with foreign flags (US, France, etc) next to their names that I'd assume might be worth looking into.
In any case, looking forward to this. |

Quick question just for clarification,
Matches must be played on a weekly basis by the following dates for each round:
Round 1: 16/09/2012 Round 2: 23/09/2012
Does that mean i can play my R1 opponent anytime before the 16th, or can i play during the week of the 16th on to the week of the 23rd? |

I'm happy for players to start R1 now, however after R1 you must stick to the weekly schedule |
