If they get Goliath back i'll probably buy HotS... my old good Goliath.

They should take out marauder, if they take out marauder and insert goliath TvT is ok and so is ok mech style against Z and P.

if they take out the marauder, bio TvP is dead.

just because WoL was dominated by bio play doesn't mean Hots has to be dominated by mech play.

Idk i like the role of the Marauder . I'm no fan of mech i like playing Bio into Air completely skipping any Mech. This isn't BW this is a different game .

Which is btw also why i hate the nerfs to BC / Ravens . I don't care is the warhound is gone for now i want my air transition to be viable.

I find it funny how Terrans are complaining about mech not being viable when Protoss is forced to go for the same unit composition in every matchup.

But they aren't.

Templar, Colossus, Zealot Archon, those are all viable styles, the only difference in Terran compositions against Protoss (at the moment) is the ratio between MMMVG. At least with mech being more cost-efficient against a Protoss deathball it would create an alternate end-game composition.

EDIT: Also the above poll is stupid; marauders are needed in the match up, or another unit must be added to fill their (very large) roll in all match-ups.

I would choose a unit like the goliath over the marauder if we were looking at just the units, but if you look at the actual match-ups, the marauder is a much more vital unit.

I've seen vikings + army do fine vs. Tempest and Brood lord comps. Cover them with what? I'm not even sure what you're arguing. You need an army, not just vikings and turrets. Vikings do perfectly fine versus air, it's up to your other units to get them to their targets, and your opponent to stop them. It shouldn't be easy or without losses.

Wonder how they're going to change the Warhound.


The Protoss Capital Ship changes totally confuse me. They add carrier but then reduce Tempest range. Aren't their roles going to completely overlap?

You don't just choose one of those unit comps and win. Herp derp. That is a unit composition for protoss. Just like MMMVG is one for terran. I could pick it apart and be like well you could just do m/m. But eventually assuming the game lasts long enough every single one of those units is going to be used. You notice what's not in that unit composition? Air.

Uh what? Tempest dps is complete shit. Carrier has the highest dps in the game upgraded. How do those roles overlap?
