I am KalurO, from the netherlands.
I have a pretty wide history of gaming. I had been playing warcraft III at a very competitive level. I first played orc but later switched to night elves. I found that night elves more suited my intense micro addiction and had widened up a bigger arsenal to more revolve around my playstyle.
After a long period of a few years, I slowly let go of warcraft III, as life was requiring more of my attention.
Now after finally having calmed down in life, and having more spare time - I picked up starcraft 2. I bought the game back in July 2011. I had never heard of starcraft before, didn't know what terran, zerg, let alone protoss was.
When I first started playing, I was used to putting 5 workers mining and a few on wood chopping, to just assault the enemy with a few minor units + a hero, to hopefully micro your way to victory.
Well, was I in for a treat. Instead of a micro-RTS, starcraft 2 turned out to be a macro-RTS. All that I learned in my wc3 time, was out the window.
I didn't have much time to play, I had a relationship and a job that required at least 50 to 60 hours of my time, a week. I also do bodybuilding, which means eating (+cooking) 6 big meals a day and working out 4 times a week. So I couldn't quite fully devote to starcraft 2. Hell, not even moderately.
I climbed up from bronze to silver, to platinum (Where did gold go  , it skipped me..) to diamond and masters. This season I had to quit my job sadly but am now able to fully devote my time to starcraft 2. I am both masters on NA as EU.

I decided to pick up zerg, I liked the mechanics and active playstyle. Protoss felt too turtly and terran didn't interest me at all, after having played the campaign.
I managed to go from platinum to masters by going for double upgrade lings, infestor, ultralisks. I never built a single broodlord thus far.
Versus terran mech I just roach drop, versus protoss I tend to be very aggressive with roach/ling or muta.
I am slowly creating my own playstyle, planning on staying far far away from "metagaming". I am a big believer in developping your own play rather than copying everything.

I can now devote a lot of time to starcraft 2 since I am jobless at the moment.
My goal is to reach high masters with my own playstyle and to eventually get into a good team. Maybe get my name out there, but I'm not going to go too quickly on things.
I have been bodybuilding since I was 17 years old, I am currently 23 years old.
I went from 66kg (145 LBS) to 92kg (202 LBS), at a height of 1m95, 6'5".
You can also drop bodybuilding related questions here or on my stream (Eitiher about strength training, anatomy or nutrition), I'd love to answer them ;-).

Monitors: 2x Dell ultrasharp U2312HM (IPS, 1920x1080, 23")
Speakers: Logitech Z623 2.1 setup
Mouse: Razer imperator 2012
Mouse bungee: Razer mouse bungee, to hold the cord, to diminish drag
Mousepad: Razer Scarab
Keyboard: Qpad MK-85 Cherry MX brown switches (Yeah I bet you were expecting a razer product here as well huh)
Desk: Random black ikea desk, adjustable height (At 73cm)
Wallpaper: Click!
Cup: Coffee in it, black
Miscellaneous: Shaver to keep facial hair away (whatever it's called in english :-) ), and a nice light blue clip to close bags with (e.g. a bag of chips)

Okay, the stream will be going live in 60 minutes time.
I am still deciding whether to go Heart of the Swarm or Wings of Liberty, It's most likely going to be HotS.
I am really curious about the new mutalisk update, increased speed and health regeneration.
It's been a while since I actively played - seeing I have had real life commitments that were really taking up quite a bit of time.
So what I'm going to do today is to have a little sc2 streaming marathon. Make sure to tune in ! 12:30 PM CET!

If one is continiously provoked, some bad words are bound to come out at times - I doubt you're a holy grail yourself.
I also don't quite understand how Teamliquid has anything to do with a small skirmish between you and I? :-).
Are you looking for redemption? If so -> I'm terribly sorry, I just fail to see the use of 8 pools in the HotS beta and I am detoxing from caffein, which is giving me headaches ^_^.
Anyway I got my Qpad MK-85 Cherry mx RED keyboard.
I had been using a Qpad MK-85 Cherry mx BROWN keyboard before.
I am liking the reds much more at the moment, it's taking some practice though!

I am currently still trying to get used to the Cherry mx red mechanical switches, I am really missing the brown 'clicks' and it happens occassionally that I dont register a key, ironically. |
