Thats correct Yoshi, but the money wasnt THAT different. This were the ACE Prices: First Place 200,000 RMB ($31,600) Second Place 50,000 RMB ($7,900) Third Place 30,000 RMB* ($4,700) All Teams 30,000 RMB** ($4,700) |

Indeed but as others have pointed out G1 is a lot less established and prestigious as the other two majors, having a better prize pool is definitely a good way of establishing yourself as another legitimate tourney. |

As I've said, the issue with it "being smaller" isn't the prizepool. Its the production, history, and prestige associated with the tournament, it's similar to how even though the GomTV leagues in BW paid out about as much as the other two and had excellent players and entertainment value, it was never *quite* at that level.
ACE league has actually be around for far shorter than even G-1, with WDC being the previous "Huge league" before it was discontinued.
At the moment it, ACE, and G-League are the three big regularly running leagues. G-League has the most history of the big 3, but ACE was created with a scope and production unrivaled in Chinese Esports and has eclipsed it as the primere Chinese DotA league.Last edit: 2012-10-09 04:37:02 |

And? Maybe understand what I said first?
It is a lan event , happening in one month, and i wonder how they will play the lan event, as dota2 has no lan yet and the chinese servers aren't running properly.
So I quoted the wrong person, calm down. People were asking about LAN, so I just provided an answer. |

Any news on where you'll be casting it? On Godz twitter it sounded like you'll casting on fengyunzhibo.

ooooo! this looks awesome. I'm not sure why but before the International 2 I would watch a lot of western Dota, eg Purge's youtube, M5 vs EG etc, but after the International 2 I seem to have lost interest. I think it is similar to what happened for me in SC2 whereby I started out watching HD's youtube, Idra, HuK etc but then discovered the Korean scene. I think the International 2 just opened my eyes to how the eastern teams are better.
Anyway go Orange and MUFC! |
