Sheesh guys. The tournament is going well. Don't let Idra, Sheth, and Ret, out of all players, make you believe otherwise

It's a huge combination of the Winner-Takes-All format, the fact that you have to schedule around ~4 matches every week, the cross server lag that trends toward the non-native server player cheesing, things like players showing up late despite walkover rules (which makes scheduling even worse). Essentially, most players were in this tournament for the novelty of facing Kespa players...and then found out they couldn't even do that properly. Those sounds like bad excuses. First of all, if cross-server lag was such a big issue, NA players would not get completely smashed because of the one game on their home server. Right? And then it is only winner takes all for the prize money. There are MLG seeds for 8 players and especially NA players have probably the easiest way possible to get one. Scheduling 4 matches a week. As a progamer where is the problem? Again, I understand why Ret would not care anymore, because he can't top 2 in Europe anyway. But every NA player that could use the MLG seed and doesnt go for it seems like a spoiled brat.

So forfeiting matches, which almost nobody watches (about 250 viewers on last broadcast), is hurting the grow of esports? LOL, most ridiculous thing i ever heard.

I don't expect your little brain to grasp the concept of a well-run tournament that includes players giving a shit about their performance increases fan anticipation and excitement -> more viewers -> increase in revenue -> more money into esports. This tournament does not qualify for a well-run tournament and it's not a good product, your hole point is useless.

It's not entirely MLG's fault though--I think it's pretty poor of the "pros" to not show up. If they commited to the tourney they should see it through. I'd hope MLG makes some sort of conciliatory gesture to people who paid for this event and haven't got their money's worth.

They aren't very well titled unfortunately and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to the order in which they are listed.

Axiom regrettably announces that CranK will be withdrawing from the remainder of the MLG MvP tournament for health reasons. CranK has suffered issues with his neck for quite some time, which we were aware of prior to signing him as a player and are doing our best to assist him with his treatment. CranK is receiving regular physiotherapy in order to treat his condition. He will be taking two weeks of recuperation on the advice of his doctor. Axiom would like to apologize to the fans who were looking forward to seeing CranK play and to MLG for disrupting their tournament by forfeiting matches. Obviously for us it is a disappointment because CranK was #1 in the Korean bracket along with MC and had a very good chance of making the play-offs, but we must put the health of our player first and ensure his well-being. He assures us that he will be well prepared for his MLG Dallas, Lonestar Clash and IPL 5 appearances in November and we wish him all the best. His lack of participation in the play-off bracket (which gives the possibility of flights and seeding into pool play at the Fall championship) will not affect his attendance at MLG Dallas. Thank you.
