You must be feeling some kind of emotion after making it to Code S for the first time.
I feel very good. It's unfortunate that it took so much time to reach Code S since I started, but I'm satisfied with advancing to Code S.
You made it out of your group relatively quickly, but were slowed down by aLive.
I started to become careless after getting three wins. Also, I was filled with worry because I was playing against Terran on the same map twice in a row.
You made it out of your group in first place with a score of 4-1.
I was confident in my skill and believed that I was guaranteed to advance.
Which game was your most difficult one today?
Most of the games that I won were one-sided, but I remember my game against JYP being the hardest.
During the early game in your match against JYP, you appeared to have secured the victory by attacking your opponent's Probe line, but you were not able to clinch the set so easily.
I wasn't able to kill enough Probes with my Zergling harassment and received too much damage from his Dark Templar. When I scouted him with an Overseer, I saw JYP upgrading Blink. I had already believed it was a fake at the time, but I got too hung up on it and became confused while playing.
How did you prepare for today's matches?
I practiced builds that I was confident in and improvised my play today. Since I was facing many Terrans, I decided to use a variety of plays.
Now that you've reached Code S, you must have set some goals for yourself.
Since it took me so long to reach Code S, I want to make up for it by advancing as far as I can. As I watched Life win, I became jealous of him, but I also learned many things from him. Because I think my skills are sufficient to face anybody, I believe that it is also possible for me to become a Royal Roader.
Numerous KeSPA players have also advanced to Code S.
I think of the KeSPA players as being the same as me. Because I also transitioned to Starcraft 2 late, I know how they feel. So much time has passed since then, so I feel that we are even with the other players. There are variations between individual players due to differences in motivation and skill, but there is no huge difference overall.
Do you have anyone that you think could be an obstacle to winning?
I don't think there is anyone. During BW, my ZvT wasn't very good, but I don't think I have any weak matchups in SC2.
Do you have any last words?
I want to send my thanks to my juniors, who helped me with practice. Since it's easy to catch a cold this season, I would like it if everyone took care of their health.

Since this is your first time making it into Code S, we're curious to hear your thoughts on the matter.
I'm incredibly glad. It finally feels like it's become a reality for me. Because I had dropped out of the Up-and-Downs for three seasons in a row, I was a bit anxious about failing again, but I'm very glad about making it through like this.
You succeeded in advancing to Code S at the end of the 15th and final set.
Before the match, I went into aLive's booth and begged him to win for my sake (laughs). ALive replied to me that he would do all he could. If I get an opportunity next time, I want to treat him to a meal.
Which match would you say was your most difficult today?
I remember my matches against Zerg being the hardest. Because things didn't go as I'd expected, I disappointingly lost.
How did you prepare for today's matches?
I wasn't able to prepare much for my match versus MMA. Even though I didn't have enough time to practice, I hadn't thought that I would have to play all the way to my last match. I only practiced for my opponents up to aLive, but luckily, I was still able to win.
A while ago, your partner, Life, managed to win the GSL. You must have felt very inspired.
I indeed did. It made me think of what I had accomplished during my three seasons in Code A. I want to work very hard to follow Life's path.
Quite a few KeSPA players managed to advance to Code S for GSL Season 5.
I think this GSL will be extremely difficult. Because I've already lost before to RorO, I want to avoid him if at all possible.
Are there any players whom you would like to face or avoid in Code S?
I want to face Bogus because he defeated Bomber in Code A and currently holds the #1 rank on ladder; I want to see just how good a player he is. I want to avoid Rain because I don't want to be crushed under his current momentum.
Because this is the last season of Code S for this year, you must have set some goals for yourself.
I heard that the Code S semifinals of this season will be held in Las Vegas, so I will work myself to the bone so that I will be able to go there.
Do you have any last words?
Even though it was a day of rest, my teammates helped me with my matches today, so I want to send them my thanks. I will make sure not to disappoint everyone during my first run in Code S. Finally, I want to thank my team's sponsors, Red Bull, Zowie, and Joy Gear.Last edit: 2012-10-23 00:29:27 |

| Thanks a lot for the translation! Hyun shouldn't be too overconfident, he had a serious case of 1a syndrome in today's matches...he needs to cure that one to advance far into Code S. |
