Left 4 Dota is a twist on another Valve game - Left 4 Dead. In the game, a team of survivors fight their way through the zombie horde to their salvation. In this Dota 2 scenario, a team of three professional players from top teams will take on the public horde in a uneven 3v5 match.
The Heroes the teams will use are predetermined, based on the characters in Left 4 Dead.
The pros will take the role of survivors, featuring:
In "Monster Mash" teams of 3 choose from a set of predefined heroes to face off in a fast-paced mini-Dota 2 match. A coin flip decides the first team to pick, and they decide from one of six different hero lineups:
First team to take a set of barracks, or lead the enemy team by 10 hero kills wins. For the following matches, new teams are brought in and the already chosen sets of heroes are banned.
Undead v Living
Undead vs the Living is a classic viewer inhouse where community members (and perhaps some special guests?) play from limited drafts to decide, once and for all, which is superior - Being alive or (un)dead.
Dire takes the role of the undead, while Radiant takes the living. Teams may pick from the heroes:
- Shadow Demon - Death Prophet - Queen of Pain - Shadow Fiend - Skeleton King - Doombringer - Chaos Knight - Night Stalker - Lifestealer - Necrolyte - Undying - Visage - Pudge - Pugna - Bane - Lich
How do I join in?
It's simple to get involved in this night of fun and games. Join the chat at http://www.teamliquid.net/video/streams/Kawa at the start of the event (October 30th @ 2:00PM PDT / 5:00PM EDT / 22:00 CET) and listen for a Dota 2 themed trivia question that will reveal the password for the game lobby. Once we get the players we're looking for, we'll close off the lobby and the games will begin!
