Maaaan, what a stacked line-up, possibly the best line-up I've seen in any SC2 tournament.
Map pool is a little small though, I expected a little more in terms of maps.
I hope the players, casters and production crew are ready for one hell of a SC2 marathon, a four day event involving three tournaments is just insane 0_oLast edit: 2012-11-15 05:46:07 |

I thought DBS retired. He's still competing? I see Haypro is being replaced since he retired as well I could be wrong though. I just remembered reading it somewhereLast edit: 2012-11-15 05:42:27 |

No way DBS goes, he doesn't even have a team (and doesn't play seriously anymore).
Grubby is announced as a caster! He wouldn't be casting if he won a spot in the GSL World Championship team and therefore a spot in IPL 5, so I conclude that Lucifron took his side of the bracket and will play in both IPL5 and GSL WC!
Fucking awesome!

Sheth will be casting as well, seeing this post reminded me of how awesome this tournament will be. |

| bo7 with 2 games advantage is huge, it could lead to an anticlimatic 2-0 grand final ... and *plouf* game over. |

Yeah, I think this is a bit ridiculous. I think the Bo5 + Bo3 from LSC2 was a great format. |

The player list for this event is simply ridiculous, and then you have the added entertainment of Code S ro4 and finals.
Then you have GSL World Championship not once but twice, with two different formats.
Without a doubt this will be the best LAN event of the winter season. |

Agree, I prefer the new MLG format with 2 separate brackets and a BO7 finals without any advantage for one or the other player. |

nah, too little advantage a bo9 with 2 games up: -can get to seven games (normal finals length) -is an equivalent of a bo3 up (2 games) -WF winner needs 3 games, LF winner needs 5 games
I think that's pretty fair personally? |
