Format

The RaidCall Dota 2 League Finals Weekend will feature the top 4 teams from the regular season competing in a double elimination format with each matchup containing at least two games between the two teams.

how can you call Empire clear favorites and say they are too strong for the rest after they got absolutely destroyed by EG just two days ago? It wasn't even close either.

In general Empire has performed a lot more solid than EG recently, and are known as one of the top teams in the world outside of the Chinese scene. EG did defeat them recently, but Empire looked very off that day and EG had a nice lineup. I guess that saying they are clear favourites might be a bit extreme, but they are definitely favourites nonetheless.

EG vs Empire finals is my prediction.

I wouldn't be surprised to see dignitas upset EG and make it either. Zero lineup is too fresh to compete with these teams but Dignitas, EG and Empire are all live dogs.

EG, Empire and Dignitas can all take games off each other quite comfertably with Dignitas perhaps a little bit behind the former too

Tough to say, but honestly we could be seeing a big upset here from dignitas. Empire is looking a bit figured out with them losing to EG and Pulse to end out the group stages. I think EG has to be the favorites, but really it's all anyone's guess.

Empire looks "figured out" in their last several matches. EG has looked extremely strong in their last several matches... professional dota is very much a "what have you done for me lately" kind of game. All that to say I voted EG because graphs:

Regardless of the "which team is the best" debates, I'm rooting for Empire. They pulled some awesome matches lately, with comebacks coming from nowhere, beginning games by being trashed and then still winning out by sheer force of will. I'm new to dota, but for the few games I saw I fell in love with Empire and their clinkz, sven, undying... So gogo Empire :D go and blow our brains!

I would not say Empire is declining. But I think teams just finally remembered how to play against agressive tri-lanes. Especially a team like Empire who is very predictable if they go for an agressive tri. Teams also make sure to no longer give them CK+wisp, which Empire used to absolutely destroy everyone. Last but not least teams remembered ghost scepter hard-counters Clinkz.

Because of that Empire will have to adjust and show us all some new stuff, but saying they are declining would not be fair. It's not so much lack of skill, but simply the fact that every team had a ton of time and film to study how empire plays and found solutions...

Wow, Maelk with a huge mistake to start of game 1, not sure if EG is not a better team with universe instead of Maelk... Still like EG's draft. Wisp+Sven is very hard to beat and Sven is getting free farm so far.
