Sup guys. I'm here on behalf of LatinGamers, we're an organization dedicated to eSports in Latin America. We do some barcrafts, we do some tourneys. Here's the latter.
xLs (short for extreme Latin squad) is our Sc2 team, and we're putting together an online tournament for December 22 2012 18:00 GMT[local]. Entrance is free, prizes are $100 in hardware distributed among 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (detailed info below, in a spoiler), and we're gonna give away some HotS beta keys, Metro 2033 keys and THQ Bundles to random players and viewers.
Detailed prices are: + Show Spoiler + Prizes have been provided by Roccat and Speedlink, our sponsors. Items for the giveaways have been provided by LatinGamers, HotS beta keys though Blizzard of course.
Here's a link to the tournament on z33k.com. Password is "LatinGamers" (without quotes). While anyone can register, PLEASE DO MIND THAT PRIZES CAN ONLY BE MAILED TO ADDRESSES IN ARGENTINA, CHILE, URUGUAY, PERU, COLOMBIA AND VENEZUELA. This is due to our sponsors' limitations in their interaction with us, we're very sorry we can't do this on a wider scale.
Also, please do keep in mind that some players will only speak Spanish, so if you don't, you might find yourself in a somewhat tricky spot to communicate with others. Admins do however speak English fluently, all of them, and they will gladly translate anything needed. Casters will also be able to help with this, although it's preferred that you contact an admin first, casters tend to be busier.
Streams and casters' info can be found on the tournament's page.
Last edition's info: + Show Spoiler +Last edition, xLs Monthly #1, offered $250 in hardware prices, had 3 streams in 720p, and was regarded as quite an enjoyable tournament by the latin american community. Our site is having some server issues atm, so probably tomorrow I'll link you guys to the flyer and rules. Link to the brackets: http://binarybeast.com/xSC21211103
So, if you've read this far, you're wondering 1: Why do I care? and 2: How does this guy have the nerve to make his first post one promoting something? I believe both questions have the same answer. I probably won't get ANY of you interested in participating, since like I said we have a restriction on where we can mail the prizes. However, with this post I'd like to say "Hey, we're here too, and we also have some eSports" on behalf of LatinGamers and Latin America in general.
Hope I've at least caught your attention, and if you do decide to join us on the brackets or the streams, we'll gladly welcome you and do our best to make this a great tournament. Thank you all on behalf of LatinGamers and myself.Last edit: 2012-12-19 17:28:46 |

Sí, lo sé. Tuve que despublicar el torneo de z33k por un detalle del reglamento, que estoy corrigiendo. Gracias por avisar :D |
