Thread Information
*I thought teamliquid was missing a thread for CG. *I'm hoping people can contribute to this thread to avoid misleading and incomplete information.
Advices
+ Show Spoiler +Just knowing how to use a 3D software won't get you anywhere. To create something that isn't crap you have to learn some other techniques, like anatomy for creating a human body, or animation principles for crating an animation. Once you learn a technique (like ambient occlusion or final gathering) it can be applied to every 3D software out there, so there is no point in being picky about a software, because they're kinda all the same, and after a technique you can learn and find any tool on any software in a matter of seconds.
