KYIV - With the support of Logitech, Western Digital, and Inno3D, WePlay is proud to announce the inaugural season of the WePlay Dota 2 League. Starting this February, the best professional Dota 2 teams from Europe and North America will duke it out for $10,000 in cash and $10,000 in gear prizes, all of it covered by Beyond the Summit.
WePlay Dota 2 will include 32 of the best teams from Europe and North America. 24 teams will receive direct invites to compete in the main event. 8 teams will earn the right to compete through a series of online qualifiers (2 for EU, 2 for NA). The first round of qualifiers will be held on the 16th-17th of February. More details will be announced on our website.

The prizepool is distributed like this: 1st place - 5000$ + 1500$ in gaming-gear 2nd place - 2500$ + 1500$ in gaming-gear 3rd place - 1200$ + 1000$ in gaming-gear 4th place - 1500$ in gaming-gear 5-6th place - 1000$ in gaming-gear 7-8th place - 500$ in gaming-gear
The prizemoney with the asterisk is not cash but gaming gear, maybe you should add that to the OP. Also, the dollar sign is written in front of the sum of money, not behind it. There will be 2 big bo5 showmatches with $3000 on the line, that's quite big considering the total prizepool.

32 teams seem like a LOT, hopefully we won't see too many onesided matches. The first 8 invited teams look strong but it also covers most of the stronger teams.
