- If you drop widow mines with a medivac in a mineral line to kill workers, the medivac will lose ≈75% health, so right after the last widow mine is dropped, you can use ignite afterburners to move it away from the enemy workers, preventing it from losing much health, and being able to escape quickly.
- Save scans before engaging a zerg with swarm hosts. if you don't have scans, he will get several waves of units in your face for free.
- If you like going reactor factory + starport, widow mine drops are amazing. But the best part? If he goes for bio-all in, smart burrowing of 4-6 mines will kill his entire push. Just make sure he won't scan there!
- Always get hellbat upgrade for your hellions if you go into mid/late game as a mech Terran. Hellbats are amazing at tanking damage and dealing it. Against Zerg players going roaches, always make your frontline hellions into bats.
- Be active with your thors mode-swapping, against a ground army, the anti-air weapon is weak, but with only ground weapons, your army will die to any decent air.
- Have medivacs on a separate hotkey. If they move, they don't heal, so while you stutter-step, have them stand still. Just watch out so you don't leave them alone to get sniped by your opponent!
- Stutter-step your army when kiting, not only marines. This goes for all the races with ranged attack.
- Before engagement, order your swarm hosts to rally the locust to the swarm hosts, so that the locust don't go in alone and die. Then press F2, shift+army key, and go kill your opponent with your gathered army!
- If the opponent is close, wait to attack (as mentioned above) until you can spawn locusts soon again. If you time it correctly, your locusts will die just before they expire, and you will have new ones coming sooner than your opponent would expect!
-Heard of force field baiting and storm dodging? What about dodging fungals? Yes? Then it's time to do some cloud-dodging when the Zerg uses his vipers!
- Reapers are getting more and more common early game. Get your defense on the edge of your base if they make reapers, and they will lose at least 1-2 by jumping up to your base!
- When facing skytoss, simply place 2 turrets/spore crawlers per mineral line (one in the middle, inside, one in the middle, outside), and they will cover your workers with ease. A nice bonus is when they don't have great micro and lose 1-2 oracles/phoenixes.
- The Mothership Core has a surprisingly low amount of health. If you have hydras/marines, focus it quickly, and it will go down in seconds.
