Introduction:
I wanted to make a map which brings some Blue Storm's features back to Starcraft 2. The idea of a high ground citadel in the middle of the map where both players gather their forces on either side of a valley was appealing. Unfortunately players very rarely place their army at a spot where there's no expansion around to be defended, so it felt like i had to fit one on that plateau as well. The second idea was to screw with the Xel'Naga watch towers. To me, they are a kind of boring feature of SC2. They do a lot for you with very little effort, and there's not a lot of interaction around them. That's why i made them blockable by rocks. You can now deny them for quite some time to your opponent by destroying the collapsible rocks. It requires a lot less effort to block them, than to reclaim them and can disable them for the entirety of the midgame.
I know that i really should to polish this map some more, but i don't know if it's worth my time or if i just should make another map which has a more interesting pattern in terms of expansions.
