+ Show Spoiler +
You are to be present and available for the whole duration of the event, until knocked out of the bracket, both in person and logged in the in-game chat channel starcraft://group/2/1640! (copy-paste this into your browser while SC2 is running) If the link doesn't work, you can find the group by searching for "bellenoirtv" in the groups section of the SC2 client.
Leaving the tournament or the chat before you are knocked out, while the event is under way for no valid reason, will earn you a red card.
Check-in:
There is a 30 minute check-in period 13:30 GMT (+00:00) – 14:00 GMT (+00:00).
All participating players and substitutes are required to check-in during this period. You check in by typing „USER NAME – CHECK IN“. Please use CAPS so the admins don't miss the message. Admins will acknowledge the message by typing „USERNAME – OK“. Also please don't spam the chat needlessly during the check-in period to make the admin's job easier, thank you :-)
Once checked in, you are required to be present in the chat for the remainder of the event, or until knocked out.
IMPORTANT: If you are in the slightest doubt that you will be available during the whole event, for whatever reason, please: don't play! Leaving in the middle of the tournament will cause you to forfeit your prize and will damage the event for other players and stream viewers as well! You were warned
Battle.net settings:
All players are required to uncheck the „only allow friends to send me invites“ and „only allow friends to send me chat messages“ check boxes in SC2 and have „set status to busy when in-game“ checked (options -> battle.net).
Race
Each player must play every game of the event as the race he stated in his tournament application. Random players must announce their race at the start of the match before the in-game timer shows 00:30. Not doing so is grounds for a red card.
Replays
All replays must be saved.
Observers
Only the staff members listed at the end of this document are allowed to observe a match. No other observers are permitted.
Pausing the game
If a player wants to pause a game, he has to give a reason for the pause and estimated time of pause. You can only unpause the game once your opponent agrees. Reasonable pauses are within 5 minutes. Longer pauses can be grounds for punishment or map loss, decided by the admin.
Match start:
For starting your match, browse the brackets to find out who your opponent is, then contact them in-game and veto the maps according to our veto system below. Each map can be played only once in a match. Random players are required to post their race in the game chat before the game timer shows 00:30. Failing to do so is grounds for a red card.
Vetoing maps
Players take turns to veto maps. Player with the lower seed begins the veto. Each player can eliminate 1 map from the map pool in a Bo5, and 2 maps from the map pool in a Bo3. Those will be taken out of the map pool for the series. Then both players continue to veto to determine the final map, 2nd map and starting map to be played (5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st map to be played in the case of Bo5). Each map can be played only once in a match. An admin must be present in the chat with the players during the whole process if the match is to be streamed.
No-shows:
Waiting time after tournament starts is 15 minutes for the first round and then 10 minutes for each additional round. If your opponent is not present at this time, you are to inform the admin of the tourney to get a BYE.
Disconnects:
If any player disconnects at any time, the game resumes from replay.
Cheating
If you suspect your opponent of cheating, you must inform the admin immediately after the game is played, and supply him with a replay of the game in question for analysis. We advise you to finish the said game so there is more data to analyze. Complaints not issued immediately upon suspicion will not be looked upon! (i.e. If you suspect foul play and finish the series regardless and THEN try to file a complaint after you loose, you are out of luck!)
Forfeits:
Not allowed! Grow some ballz! ;-)
Results:
You are to report the result of EVERY game of a match to the admin of the tourney. Example: „Player A 1-0 Player B“ after first game of a Bo3 match played.
Additional rules & punishments:
Yellow card – serves as a warning. If you are issued 2 yellow cards, you automatically receive a red card. Typically, yellow cards are issued for: excessive BM, hate talk, balance whine. Also for ruining viewer experience (i.e. doing a drone rush or not playing the game out, etc.), not submitting to admin's directions / punishment, and other. This card stays in effect for 2 tournaments.
Red card – this results in disqualification, loss of prize money and a ban from the following tournament. Typically, red cards are issued for: receiving a 2nd yellow card, not telling your race to your opponent before 00:30 if you play as random, leaving the event or the group chat before being knocked out of the tournament without giving a solid reason, and other. This card stays in effect for 2 tournaments.
Black card – this results in disqualification, loss of prize money and a ban from all future tournaments. Typically, black cards are issued for... Well, let's be honest, that would have to be something quite severe, such as disrespecting the staff or threatening them or other players in a serious way! This card stays in effect indefinitely.
If an admin contacts you to hold your next match on account of it being streamed, you are required to comply.
Players' main contacts are the tournament admin(s) in-game, should you have any questions or need directions. Questions regarding the tournament asked by the players in the stream chat will be ignored.
All other cases not mentioned here are handled by the tournament admins and staff. Their decision is final and there is no appeal. Failing to comply with admin’s directions results in an immediate red card.
