UK Pro League is a regional competitive gaming league organised by GameSocial. Starcraft II will be the game featured for Season One and will run from 27th June to 14th July 2013 using a online-based micro league format.

There are two ways to gain one of the 16 spots in the tournament, by a direct invite or by an online qualification tournament. The qualifier information has been announced below, We recommend that every player sign up to the qualifiers as invites will be sent over the next day.

It was a hard call but more down to time. Trying not to look to far ahead but the amount of invites over next seasons will be vastly reduced as we want to work on a more progressive merit pass.
It's nice to see something happening in the UK. Is there already a good shortlist for the invites? I know nothing about the UK players (apart from the super obvious ones like DeMusliM) which is a shame.
As awesome as this sounds, it really was not such a smart move to announce it the day before the first qualifier? Especially with the second being on the Saturday...

It can go both ways. If I sign up for something more than a couple of days in advance, I usually forget to play in it.

I have never known a major tournament to release the dates of its qualifiers one day before they start, and there is a reason for that! I expect a number of people won't be able to take part in them with a days notice, and most people tend to be busy on a Saturday. I would have loved to have taken part in them and if I had even 3 days notice I could have played on the Thursday qualifiers
