About the show:
State of the Gathering will be a weekly web show/podcast dedicated to Magic the Gathering. Each week our show will be slightly different depending on specific topics. Some of our regular segments will include deck Tech. This could involve a deck we are running or simple a popular deck at the time. There will be a drafting segment, in which we discuss pros and cons of drafting a specific deck. We will also be discussing the ever evolving meta game based around the sets in the Standard format. This means we will be doing set previews when something new comes out.

About the hosts:
NanMan is most known for his casting of Starcraft II, which he's been doing since 2010. Before he got into casting he was into competitive trading card games. Like any good kid of the 90s Nan collected Pokemon cards. It wasn't until the days of Yu-Gi-Oh that he got into the tournament scene. His biggest accomplishment was placing top 10 at a regional event. After leaving Yu-Gi-Oh behind Nan stumbled across Magic the Gathering in 2003. He purchased his first set of cards (the sky slam deck from the 8th edition theme decks). With not many people to play with Nan soon found himself moving on to other hobbies. It wasn't until the Zendikar block that Nan really got into magic. He's been collecting ever since and has recently starting posting up Deck Tech videos on his YouTube channel. Nan always prefers a deck that is fun over the most competitive top end deck. That's why you'll see him playing Maze End in Standard and drafting a lot more.
Brandon “Morel” Mucciarone is a Starcraft 2 caster who is currently a caster for LaG gaming and the URTL, along with some other Starcraft 2 tournaments. He has been casting Starcraft for 2 years and has been playing Magic for the past five. For the most part he has kept very casual about it up until recently when he started to get more interested in competing in limited, and constructed formats. Since then he has been consistently going to events whenever he has had time and has become knowledgeable on current strategies, mostly in a limited environment. Brandon plays standard every Wednesday, drafts on Fridays, and manages a power cube which he plays almost every Sunday. For the most part, Brandon has been playing very casually for the past five years but he is not ready to take it to the next level and start competing, and discussing magic in a public forum, he hopes to have the chance to go to as many tournaments as possible in the future as long as they do not affect his casting too much.
Pat "Handfromabov"McLean - I started in Magic about 16+ years ago. I have always been a table top player. Around the same time I got into the competitive side of gaming in Quake. So I followed my passion from StarCraft Brood War. When I started in StarCraft 2 I decided to start my own team. I am the owner of Under Rated Gaming. We are a competitive gaming franchise. Its truly my passion and love for gaming. As for magic I took some time away but innastrad got me back and showed me why I love it so much. I am known as a bit of a mad scientist when i build decks. I take a type and go how can I make it better or make it different. I am know for playing a lot of trick decks like my maze's end deck. My biggest love will always be a mill deck. My love and passion always shows in my decks. I am always known to be approachable and willing to help people.
