Q: Your retirement has shocked the Esports scene and has been a huge blow to many fans. Is the retirement final and irrevocable?
Yeah, the final Decision has already been made. The fact that many people were urging me to stay has been heartwarming and has made me feel like the sacrifices over the last 3 years have been worth it.
Q: In a previous interview you had resolutely claimed your commitment and encouraged your teammates to continue. What has made you unable to persist to your beliefs and abandon your greatest dream?
I truly, really, wanted to continue a while longer. But after finding that those around me has different ideas than I did, I held out and struggled to communicate without any results before deciding to give up. Now I can let my self happily live without any burdens.
Q: You held a retirement ceremony on the 18th. A lot of people suspected that you were retiring with fanfare to cement your future, will you deny this?
I held a retirement ceremony because I hoped to give some closure to those who supported me. Just as in my interviews, I wanted everybody to know that despite my retirement, I will never fade your your sight. The old Misaya was a player fighting for the heart of competition, but the new Misaya is still willing to be the god of the midlane and bring you joy and excitement in his streams and commentaries.
Q: What path in life will you choose after your retirement?
I will walk road that every man must blaze towards an ever-larger future. I hope that my life will become more exciting and colorful. I will do my best to repay the support of my fans with all of my ability and strive to walk my own path.
Q: Your hometown is in Hunan, will you stay in Shanghai after your retirement or go back home and leave Esports altogether?
I will temporarily remain in Shanghai and frequently visit the WE base to see my teammates. Shanghai's Esports scene has developed nicely with a wide variety of competitions. I will not forsake Esports entirely, but wish to take a small break. Because I love Esports, I will throw myself into Esports once I have the chance and ability again.
Q: You never had a girlfriend while on WE, do you have any romantic plans after retiring?
Eh, I actually did have one, but we split up because I had too little time as a pro player. After retirement I hope to take it slow and steady myself and my career before thinking about love.
Q: What kind of girl are you looking for, maybe a fangirl?
I think the type isn't too important. In terms of looks I prefer girls that are a bit more mature, but I don't think I'd care if a girl who was truly good to me appeared.
In terms of picking amongst fangirls, its actually quire difficult. Because I don't go out very frequently I rarely meet fangirls in real life. There are lots of fans on the internet, but without meeting them I can't tell if I'd like them. But I will accept a fangirl if she truely likes me and I like her as well!
Q: If a girl confessed to you directly "Misaya let's date", would you agree?
Ahhh.... That caught me off-guard. I feel like dating requires contact and understanding. Maybe only those who know me as a professional player and not as a person would say that, somebody who truly likes we wouldn't say something like that out of the blue. Cough, I hope girls who say things like that would be more caution. I might be a lolicon.
Q: MISAYA LETS DATE!
Are you a Loli? (pshhh)
Q: Everybody understands that fame attracts attention, along with the fans, there are naturally many flamers who would attack you. There are many netizens who see you as a joke. For example, many netizens would call you various derisive names. How will you respond to things like that?
Work on bettering myself and let the people who like me support me. Spend my time doing my own things without any regrets. Most importantly, the crowd I care about are the fans who diligently support me and not the crowd of trolls flaming me.
Q: At this hour of regret, do you have anything to say to the fans who've never abandoned you?
I'm very thankful for everybody's care during this journey. I've said a lot of "thanks everybody" during my career as the captain of a professional team, I will say something different today as well.
If you like me, then please continue to support me. Though I may no longer be fighting in the arena, but I will strive with my heart and soul to show you a better Misaya. The road to the future still has a long way to go, are you willing to come with me to see greener pastures?
