What do you guys think about this issue? i think it was very very rude from benedict to read that "quote". All efforts from pope john paul II were in vain thanks to this pope. Even if he was reading a quote, he knows his words have a lot of power, and it did hurt islamics, i just not find it fair
imagine that the leader of islam would have read a quote where it says that christianity is barbaric because of the times of the inquisition. Or religious zealots.. please, we know there are people like that, but its not all. In fact i think all religions end its the same, people to leave in peace between each other.

| arabs have a long history of beef with europeans thousands of years ago. saladin used the term "jihad" to represent war with the crusaders. they fought over jeruslam many times and shit, saladin captured the holy cross, and the cross is still missing, no 1 knows where it is right now. |

| Later he gave his explanation which wasn't as scathing but the fact that he chose that quote in the first place is quite shitty of him. His explanation of the passage was far more PC and acceptable. How many more buildings will burn now? |

| Sure it was an old quote but it's still applicable today because of how these fuckers try to spread their religion. Bringing up Christianity's bloody past is retarded because they no longer spread their religion that way. Also I Iike how Islam is condemed for spreading it's cause by the sword, and then after the comments the threat to behead the pope and christians(with a sword) is said. Any violent religion ought not be called a religion, and abolished. |

I think infallible is a bad latin translation. It should be, the pope's words are inphallicable. Meaning he shouldn't talk about penises. |
