Thanks to /u/B0rst1 who found this bug and his thread http://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/1wek95/why_you_should_always_warpin_to_the_right_of_your/
I repost it because it's an interesting bug :
I was playing a PvP and when I went for aggression I wanted to warp-in units at my opponent's natural. I usually warp in with one swift mouse movement and even though I had 3 gates, I found myself only warping in 2 units and I wondered why that was... At first I thought there were some dead spots on the natural, some tiles you just couldn't warp-in on, so I tested it in a game vs AI and used the exact same Pylon placement. Gallery with further explanationsTurns out that the "dead space" around the pylon where warp-ins aren't possible is way larger to the left of the Pylon than to the right of it. TL;DR: Always warp-in on the right side of your pylon. This way it's less likely you mess up warp-ins by clicking too near to the pylon. EDIT: It's like this on other maps as well http://imgur.com/4dO1Iz1
It seems it's present on every map. You can't warp-in at the left of a pylon :
But you can at the right :
Edit : I did some tries myself and the bug is present for all protoss buildings, bottom and left parts are buggy :
It's very funny with Stargate :
Or an example with warpgate :

that's completely absurd! for some reason (right handed?) i think mostly everyone warps in on the right already. this totally sucks for any lefties, who already have a tough time just getting home from work with their high car accident rate : )

are you sure thats not just how pylons work? :O warping in from a 360 degree angle sounds kinda OP

And don't get me started on those fecking right side only tech labs. It's discrimination I say!

Looks like the dead space is just off-center, skewed a bit to the left. Top and bottom seem to work as they should.

Blizzard staff confirmed right wing conservatists

Above and below has the same problem...
edit: Engine problem. I don't see anything that could influence this in the data layer. =/

I'm right-handed and I tend to warp in from left to right (rainbowing over the pylon if I have many warp gates).
Either way, this bug is really weird. Surprised no one noticed it until now.

What kind of logic is that? You may think wargate tech is OP, but warping 360 degree is OP? Please tell me you are trolling.

I just etsted against AI and it was bugging close to center of the pylons and BUILDINGS on the bottom left, its like a 120 degree arc on the bottom left side (only close to the center, enough to place 3 stalkers), part of the top left works. What a strange bug!

It just happens if your warps are hugging the center of the pylon... I think almost no one warps hugging the center of the pylon, especially because you would have to make more mouse movement to warp when close to the center.

knew something was fishy with stalker warpins, thanks for doing the research

Well, while you Blizzard are at it fixing this bug, you could also increase the radius of the energy field of the pylon to what it once was. With the "no warp-in in highground" rule, that change is not necessary anymore.

This is part of the blink-stalker all-in nerf..
I'm sure of it

Nony mentioned this on his stream a few days ago too. Warp ins have been kinda off lately, especially with stalkers.

Finally an answer for Proleague.

Anyway, did this just come into existence from the latest patch? Because surely this would have been noticed far sooner, no?

Did you test with non-stalkers? cannot test my self as i'm not at home.
