Zest's all-kill gives KT 4-0 win over rivals SK Telecom
by Waxangel
The highly anticipated telecom derby for the Proleague Round 1 title gave way to a surprising result. KT_Zest came into the playoffs with disappointing 2-4 record in round one, but stepped up his game in a huge way for the playoffs. He left SK Telecom's collection of all stars with the sour taste of defeat in their mouths, scoring a demoralizing, 4-0 sweep.
Zest wasted little time in taking his first win of the night against Rain, with an accelerated 3-gate rush making short work of his opponent. Zest then faced his toughest challenge of the night against Soulkey, who very nearly overpowered him with swarmhosts and corruptors. However, Zest's continued harassment combined with a couple of ill-advised engagements from Soulkey allowed the KT Protoss to pull off an unexpected comeback.
SKT ordered soO to halt Zest's momentum, but his defenses failed to hold against Zest's 3-base blink stalker timing attack. Finally, PartinG was sent out in hopes of conjuring a miracle, but he ended up being Zest's fourth and final victim. After being outplayed in a macro game, PartinG tried to turn things around with a base trade. Zest was not shaken by PartinG's desperate ploy, and finished his opponent off to bring the series to an end.
With Zest's all-kill, KT clinched the round 1 playoff title on top of the round 1 regular season title, taking a commanding lead in the Proleague point rankings with three rounds left to play. Round two will begin on February 23rd.
Points are awarded based on regular season and playoff finishes. The top four teams qualify for the season end playoffs.
Soulkey threw that game so hard. Even with SKT falling apart, there are plenty of points that were earned by the deep run and plenty of points left to gain. It's still heavily up in the air on who the final four will be. I've got a strong feeling round two will be Prime's round. ^_^

I hope its not bullshit like the kespa monthly elo.
They are based on the ERS (Evil Ranking System). Which ever teams earn the most points gained them for being evil/corrupt/or using bs strategies. Notice the 3 bottom teams, CJ/MVP/Prime all models of excellence and clean behavior. They are doing it wrong.

you can pretty much reverse engineer it. 65-60-55-50-45-40-35-30 points for finish in the regular season. 1 point for r1 playoff loss, 11 points for r2 playoff loss, 16 points for losing in the final, 56 points for finals win? something along those lines anyway.

81, 71, 61, 51, 45, 40, 35, 30 for 1-8th places in the round-robin stage and 40 and 10 for top 2 in playoffs. E.g. KT has 81 + 40 points.
What is the point of those 81 71s tho? I mean why now make them 80 or 70. Is it to say that finishing high in the round robin stage is more important should a tie occur?
Might be off topic, but I'm a little confused on the spoiler hiding in the website.... seems to work fine for the homepage headlines, but shouldn't it also hide topic titles like this from the sidebar?

Didn't even get to see Flash play, what a huge disappointment! Was hoping to see Soulkey vs Flash Poor SK throwing the game against Zest, I bet he is really disappointed as well!
