Sorry i've been lacking a response. I really appreciate input from visitors and this is a nice summary of the season. Personally I think this article is worth promoting to the article section, so if you suddenly miss this topic it's there
I 100% agree that the article section is lacking new ones and probably could be clearer, i barely look in it. But one of the reasons it's not split up now i because there are so few articles, like 15. Soon i will a re-do of a lot code, trying to fix some bugs and including some stuff with userrights and banning. Maybe making changes to article section could be part of that too. |

Thx Meat! When I have time I will write/re-write an article for each OGN starleague on the same format as this one, and post it in the forum to let you tranfer it to the article section.

How about adding links to download vods of these games too - By the way, could you please explain how the "Choose your group" system works at the early stages of the Starleague exactly? I didn't quite understand it |

there is no permanent link I know of for those games.

I think it is explained in the must-read article on the OGN starleagues by Mensrea. #1, 2 & 3 from previous starleague get in group A, B & C and challenge league winner gets in D. Then A1 picks A2, B1 picks B2, C1 picks C2 & D1 piks D2. Then they make a 180, D2 picks D3, C2 picks C3, ... A2 picks A3, A3 picks A4... There is a rule: the groups must be balanced race-wise. No more than 2 of the same race in the same group, whenever it is possible (and it has always been possible so far). When there are 8 players of one race, it can lead to forced picks. For instance here, Mumyung HAD to pick Xellos, the only non-zerg left, because there couldn't be a 3rd zerg in his group.Last edit: 2003-06-23 15:32:05 |
