I'm a Zerg player, but I like to play PvP for a change. Anyways, was hoping some P guru's could give it a boost 
(Mostly use it against 1 gate robo btw)
- 8 pylon
- 10 gas
- 11 gate
- ~15 core
- 16 pylon
Once Core is done I get a goon and Citadel at the same time, plant a 2nd gate when Citadel finishes, get the speed upgrade, get a zeal or two, plant a 3rd gate, and start pumping zeals.
Soon I get templars, obs, forge ('grade attack only), and that's about it. Keep pumping zeals, plenty of templars, an archon and goon here and there. Expand at about the "usual" time, 10 minutes or so, earlier if safe. Reavers can be a real pain, but usually I'm able to storm them quickly. Most times I don't have to worry about psi storm, as they invested heavily in robo tech. The massive amounts of speed zeals coupled with blankets of psi storm rip goons apart.
But I think it can be better. Any BO changes, tips, or just comments are welcome. Here's a replay with pretty much the exact build, though mine varies a bit:

Oh yeah...I don't know how common this strat or variations of mass zeals are in PvP (as I said, I'm normally a Z player). But if you haven't tried it, I'd suggest you do. It's fun ^^
If you have used it, how well does it do vs non-1 gate builds? I haven't had any luck. (I'm not counting 2 gate zeal rush/pressure as mass zeals  )Last edit: 2003-06-12 11:12:20 |

if u're a zerg user why care about some toss vs toss build up? just play the pvp game for fun instead of caring so much.
first of all chance it to 10 gate , 11 gas (if u go tech)

I do play for fun mostly, I've come to terms that I won't be a pro gamer. I do "different" builds, but it's still funner to win with them than lose

gas first is islands strat.
well if you don't care why want build order?
btw fast probe storm + cannon cliff is some strat! (unless he uses reaver which is 50% of the times) |

starting with templar tech is a usual strat, even if still most players go robo tech first, but it can beat any other strat if played well.
pvp usually is about the first expansion. if you expand a lot earlier than him and are able to survive his attack ( if he does ;I ) you win usually win the game. same happens if he does not attack and decides to expand himself of course. at least if you dont lose lots of probes to a reaver or psi drop |

and btw,
your build dies to 2gate zeal rush
it dies to fast dt rush
it dies to fast 3gate ranged goons
and im pretty sure it dies to any good early reaver build because you cannot harm him with your zeals once he has his first reaver, so you have to wait for psi and let him expand safely |

only 3 zeals to put pressure and gaz near 16 (4 in gaz) to be able to follow any cyber tech player |

double gate is definitely the safest build
on LT gaema or any other maps with narrow ramps 1 gating is fine too  |

I just get gas fairly quickly and don't pump any zealots, then I get reavers goons.
