means very good skilled. You need to be freaking amazing to be considered gosu. For example pro-gamers are sometimes also refered to as 'gosus' though they are not the same things. People can be gosu and not be progamers, its just pretty rare. A really slick move in a game might be called 'gosu play'.

That's about all I'm willing to type about it.

I suppose "good player/gamer" would be translation. pooper-scooper, stop talking shit yo. A lot of players are gosu but not pro-gamers ._.
River me timbers.

I'd like to have the actual meaning, where it comes from, from what meaning.
I.e if some korean who don't understand english may think that newbie is just somebody who sucks, when it actually was meant to be just somebody who is new (and that's why sucks). Newbie of course doesn't (anymore) mean just someone new, like gg doesn't anymore mean just good game.
So anyway, what is gosu _supposed_ to mean?

Gosu is a Korean word that means "very skilled" and/or "experienced". All pro-gamers are gosu. And a few non-pros are gosu as well.

Do you Know that many Asia languages and letters are influenced by Chines language?
(For example korea, japan)
So 'gosu' is based on a Chinese character.
'go' means height. And 'su' means a trick, a game.
(hasu's 'ha' means the low class)

A korean-English dictionary explain 'gosu' as
a better hand; excellent skill; a superior ((to another in something)); a high-grade player
team liquid is very famous in korea. I get good informations and storys.

It might translate literally to "the upper hand", like the word for skillful in Japanese [joozu] does.
