I guess there wont be any BW after OSL.
its so easy to get your BW fix with this thread, but in SC2 when im trying to find the games with the top players ( more importantly our kespa players) you have to trawl through the forums, and through the 300 million tourneys to try find them.
Is there anyway we could keep this thread going when they are only playing SC2 and have the links to all the games the Kespa players play in Sc2 also. (the sc2 small vod thread is long dead)
Or do you have any tips to help me find the Kespa players games in SC2 without spoiling the results for myself or having to pay GOM to watch,,, |

I don't actually watch SC2 so I probably won't be updating it. IMO the SC2 OSL and Proleague should go in the SC2 small vod thread (if it's dead, it just makes it easier to find vods) and this thread should be used for foreign Brood War tournaments. Alternatively there could be multiple SC2 vod threads for different tournaments.
If you want vods for the SC2 OSL/Proleague, I'm assuming they're going to continue being uploaded to the ESportsTV YouTube channel ( http://www.youtube.com/user/ESportsTV -- note: has spoilers for today's games). What I usually do is take off my glasses, click on the "videos" tab, scroll all the way down quickly, and slowly scroll up with my glasses on until I either see the last uploaded video before the games I want to watch or the first couple of sets. You have to be careful here because you might spoil a Bo3 if all 3 sets are displayed on the same row. To watch the other sets, you can move your mouse over the vod below the one you want to watch, close your eyes, scroll up, and blindly click on the vod. Usually you'd end up finding out how many sets there are despite all of this.
Edit: As far as I know, the Kespa players have only participated in the MLG invitational so far, so you shouldn't need GOM for anything, although I might be wrong about this.
It would be possible for someone to write a program that lets you view the youtube channel without spoilers.

I hope they do put all the Kespa games on the esports channel on youtube, but i am wondering about when Kespa players play in GSL. we will have to pay Gom to watch those. I guess i just have gotten lazy over the years of just having been able to watch all the games on one easy to find place. Starting from Jon747 onwards to this very thread.
its the end of an era... ya might say. I hope someone from the BW community will keep the good work going and help us to see all the games of our favorite BW players (Jaedong) in an easy to find place also. |

Unfortunately, it would be illegal to upload GSL vods to YouTube and GOM would be likely to shut down a channel that did so. There's no legal way to get around paying if that's what GOM wants you to do.
One thing to consider is that GOM would have to deal with Kespa if they want the Kespa players to participate in the GSL, and that Kespa may want freely available streams and vods. The players are sponsored after all. Also, their time is limited considering that they also have to participate in Proleague and OSL. However, Kespa may change their business model into one that charges for vods to make better use of foreigner viewers, especially if their Korean viewership drops.
If you consider the small vod thread useful, you could try updating it yourself. I only started because I noticed that many games wern't being posted here in a timely matter. It's not very hard or time consuming to do. Of course, you could only post freely available vods which might be a problem for SC2, but the ESportsTV channel is likely to remain updated at least for the next season.
