I been searchin the interwab for staredit that runs on OS X. The star edit that comes with brood war on the CD only runs in OS 9. Which now adays is practically extinct lol. So anyone know where I can get a version? I dont need anything fancy just wanna make some melee maps =] - but the ability to make inverted ramps would be nice. But its probably only a PC program ;p

usually people on tl.net tell me to get a PC, which isn't too helpful i'm afraid
i don't think blizzard currently supports a mac os x version for staredit...but i may be wrong
hopefully some of the mackies on tl.net can help us?

edit: i don't think they've made starforge for mac
that's the editor i used for tiles (i.e. inverse ramps), but maybe there's another one out there?

The StarFire Edit wants me to select a "StarEdit (Carbon)" application, but there is none and I think there never was. If I select the normal StarEdit it happens to start Classic mode which is no option for anyone using a x86 Mac.

At this time there is no Carbon version of the StarEdit (StarCraft Campaign Editor) application, and there are currently no plans to create one. StarEdit will not run on an Intel-based Mac as a result since the Classic environment is not supported under Mac OS X.

yeah I tried starfire edit but as zuqbu said, I get the same problem. Wants to run in Classic OS 9.
