Hm, so:
Seed #1-3 = WCG 2006 #1-3
Seed #4-6 = Kespa ranking #1-3
Kespa ranking #4 Stork gets to play Amateur 2, the weakest player in the tournament in first round
Kespa ranking #5 Hwasin gets to play Amateur 1, the second-weakest player in the first round
Kespa ranking #6 Iris plays Kespa ranking #23 Nal_Ra (24 is Midas, so Nal_Ra is lowest possible)
Kespa ranking #7 FireBatHero plays Kespa ranking #22 Anytime
...
and so on
Oov as #1 gets bye and has Kespa #13 Much and Kespa #14 UpMagic to keep him company, and so on; pretty much, this is a straight 32-man tournament with normal seeding, except that #1-6 get bye instead of an opponent in the first round.
edit: Ah, as noticed in the other thread, Light, Pusan, and Bisu are all in the same group--only one will advance to round of 8. The rigorous seeding process assures that the organizers aren't trying to rig things up to screw over teams, but isn't this just great for MBC? T_T
On the plus side for them, Sea's against Silver, and Monty Hall's not in the map pool. And if Nada really is slumping, the team at least has two players in Ro8.Last edit: 2007-07-16 22:43:31 |

Even if it is WCG, WCG KOR/OGN won't release replays at all.
