Starts today, let's see if there are people that care about tennis on TL :D.
Federer (who had stomach problems) starts on tuesday, Nadal (who faced a strong beating last week) on monday.
I think this is the most disputed Open of the last few years, especially because of Federer's stomach problem last week. There is also the change of surface, we don't know how players will react to it. Also, there are more contenders than last year.

Man what a draw!
Going for Federer, Hyung-Taik Lee,.... i guess Fernando, and a couple others i dont feel like mentioning.
I believe this AO will all deped on how fast the ball moves on the new surface. If it's fast, I'll probably fall on Federer taking the whole thing. Hope his stomach feels better though :[. |

| It's still functionally a hardcourt; they used to use a material called Rebound Ace, but they're replacing it with Plexicushion. The new one is more like the US Open's speed; Rebound Ace used to be a bit slower than the DecoTurf at the US Open. |

| tickets are so expensive i might be in melbourne at the time though so i'll see if i can get in some of the outer courts, which are only like $20 for a few days not $100 for 1 match. |
