Deep underground in an old bomb shelter several of the townies took sanctuary, fast asleep they knew they were safe from any attack on their life. Unfortunately they weren't the only people with a key. The mafia entered quietly and move throughout the large complex, it was built to house several families but instead holds several people spread out comfortably. As the clock came past 3:00am they got started with their tasks. Over in Mini Moose 2707's room where he was sound asleep with his stuffed rabbit a mafia kicked down the door waking him immediately. He jumped to his feet and just stood there with a blank look on his face as the mafia pranced around him stabbing him all over. After many gaping holes Mini Moose 2707 fell to the ground and bled out. The kick had also awoken wurm but he was quickly pinned down someone rather strong. Satisfied another man walked in with a needle in his hand and didn't hesitate to thrust the object into wurm. In response wurm spat in the mans face and the other mafia holding him down gave him a brutal blow to his side saying "You will respect my friend here, he serves a greater purpose" and resumed his work restraining him. A few seconds later his skin turned bright green and then green blood came gushing out of every orifice of his body. wurm was dead rather quickly after this happened. "Ah shame, another failed test, I feel we're getting closer though, my friend".
Across the hall JeeJee was still asleep but was woken up by the laughter of a man invading his room. Knowing immediately there was a threat to his life he charged into one of the men and ran past the other out of his room. The knocked over man fired several shots many of them missing but the other man caught up with him after JeeJee slipped on some mud on the ground. A sweet floral scent entered his nostrils before JeeJee's life was ended by a gunshot to the head. Gunfire, however, is not something many people sleep through and Amber[LighT], chicken`, and Aepplet were quickly out of their rooms heading for the exit. Aepplet was on his cellphone dialing 911 but was cut short when his hand was pulled away from the phone rather abruptly, he was raised into the air with ease and sliced clean in half, Aepplet is just another name crossed off on the list for these men. Amber[LighT] was almost to the entrance before being intercepted by a strangely dressed man, he pulled out a sword and because thrusting and slicing away until Amber[LighT] was finally dead did he say 'Lay here in the earth, may violets spring from your unpolluted flesh'.
This gave chicken` time to close and latch the door to the cellar, quite confident he escaped he ran towards his car parked out front. As he turned the corner around the house a man came out of the brush and viciously beat him to the ground. chicken` struggled and fought back but didn't stand a chance.

Send in your votes for whoever you would like to see lynched, remember to make them clearly visible to make it easier for me to tally them. Pardoner if you think someone should be spared please let me know when it looks like voting is coming to a close. Any other special roles that can be used during the day should PM me if they want to use them. I'm going to do a vote count tomorrow sometime and hopefully we'll go to night the day after depending on how things are moving.
Special roles will always be posted in the OP after a players name if it is unclear to you who has died. |

Ok, time for a long post, i will not interpret the clues, but rather talk about the previous day, and hopefully begin to understand this, and give us at least a fighting chance. First off, I am the detective, and i am not inactive, so i will recap what i have done so far during the first 3 day/night cycles to show you how hard this actually is to be any use as a detective.
Night 1, i asked if i could see how many mafia voted for a mayor candidate, but was told i could not find that answer, so i used one of the clues of a strangely dressed man/bowing clue to see if it related to artofmagic, and got answered a no. Now remember, each clue can point to various people, so im pretty much guessing as who i would believe fit that role, since they're 71 people day/night 1, that means i have to see if a clue fits for all 71 people, which, when given up to 13 clues, is alot of clues.
Day/night 2, i asked if someone tossing in there sleep was related to RtS)Night[Mare, but i didnt wait for chuiu to respond before posting the clue, and thus got him lynched for no reason.
Day/night 3, This is where it gets interesting, instead of asking a clue as i had no idea who to link to clues, i decided to see how many mafia lynched FakeSteve. Here is the list of people who voted for FS:

Out of all these people, ONE, yes ONE, was mafia. That means 10 townies lynched our mayor, and since this night happened:
Chicken`, Aeppelet both died, and are townies. but that means we know more people who are townies to not let them become lynch victims, and one of those are mafia, although im willing to spare 1 mafia to keep 8 townies alive for now.
So, that is what i have done the last 3 day/nights. I asked Live2Win to protect me tonight, but nobody targeted me (as i did not receive a pm if he protected me successfully, so im assuming i was not targeted) I am going to use my day/night 4 role later to determine more information, but we need to rule out people that we know are townies.

all the people who voted for fakesteve are a 7/8 possibility to be towny, 1/8 to be mafia (also, the elder that voted is unkown, but it isnt one of those 8).
Ok, now that ive posted that, and my role is known, im fairly certain that i will die tonight by mafia, and hopefully not by lynching.
to begin looking at the clues, i will start back at day 1, when people campaigned for mayor. I am assuming the mafia wanted a mafia in the mayor/pardoner position, and seeing as how we've lynched both the other mayor, and the 2nd runner up to mayor, who both flipped town, im going to presume tracil is mafia. Why you ask?
Well, here are some points:
He didn't like fakesteve, complained about his campaigning method, and when steve won, tracil said he wouldn't pardon anyone, meaning a lynch is almost always better than no lynch. He also didnt save fakesteve, which would of helped the town, alot, since we are now down 4 votes per day, AND 2 double lynches. We haven't targeted any mafia with our lynches! therefore we won't know if he has inconsistant behavior when we try to lynch mafia compared to townies.
With this nights clues, i believe here are some people to consider:
Unforgiven_ve: i believe he killed mini moose, because he was unforgiving in that he continued to stab mini moose, as well as his photo in his signature is a pink stuffed rabbit.
randombum: We have had clues towards him the entire game, muddy boots, kicking, and now we have him coming out of a bush, We haven't even attempted to lynch him yet, and i believe we have more than ample clues to lynch him now, or have a case to lynch him. Also, if that wasn't him in the bushes, possibly a vigilante, there was mud in the hallway as well, another clue to someone who isnt clean (a bum)
To miss the mark: Many shots fired that missed JeeJee?
Valentine: Honestly, im going for this one because its just TOO obvious, Valenties day, the season itself, and then a refreshing floral scent in jeejee's nose before dieing? a Rose scent possibly?
Empyrean: going out on a limb here for this one, but the strong man says "You will respect my friend here, he serves a greater purpose" after wurm spits in his face. Empyrean's sig says Dogma: I am God. refrence, possibly, but cant rule it out.
goldenkrnboi: #1 light hater, again, this is the 4th time we have seen the no lights situation, we are in a CELLAR, which is known for being dark, and normally has little light at all.
I will read more about clues/posts, but hopefully this will allow people to think more for themselves, rather than let tracil lead them on, because so far tracil has led us to lynch 3 townies |

I'm actually quite surprised I made it through the night...
Very brave, Alventenie. Many of our suspects match up. I will do an analysis of the clues tomorrow when I don't have 2 papers to write for classes tommorow. |

The situation right now is getting desperate, and i believe that desperate situation calls for desperate action. Honestly speaking, this just isnt looking good for the townies.. if things carry on like this we ARE going to lose. We outnumber the mafia by 3:1, but the diference in numbers do not mean anything considering how the mafia are organized, while we are not. Im proposing something radical.. I think it IS possible for the townies to actually be organized, not all of us.. but only a small number that matters the most in the game. This small group will only receive orders by a single person who we are sure is a townie, this single person will be the "head" of the group, only he knows the members of the group and is responsible to coordinate and organize each action of its members. So you might be asking, who are the members? how are we going to make sure they are not mafia? Well, this is where this list plays a role.
2 of 3 Vigilante alive.
1 of 2 Detective alive.
4 of 4 Paramedic alive.
2 of 4 Elder alive.
3 of 4 Veteran alive.

Yes, this list the key. These are the only people who are going to make a difference in this game for the townies. Im suggesting that these people will submit their names and roles to the appointed "head". From there this leader will be able to systematically organize and use any information and
abilities gained from of its members.
So some of you might ask, what if there's undercover mafia claiming any one of these roles? Well, lets say that 5 people claim to be paramedics, we know that there are only 4 paramedics out there , that means that 1 of them is a fake a.k.a mafia. Keep in mind, only the "head" knows all the information, no information is passed among members of the group.. effectively rendering any infiltration useless. Keep in mind, in this scenario the head will know there is a mafia within the paramedic group.. thus is his responsibility to investigate and figure out who is the mafia. Obviously it isnt very smart for the mafia to go undercover in this group since it will only get their names shortlisted.
In order to select the "head", i believe it is wise to actually just to random on this.. the chances are still 1/3 that the person randomly selected is a townie, if not.. then we are screwed.. or we could just use a person that we all trust is a townie, which is definitely not wise since at this point, anyone could be mafia.
I dont see any other way for the townies to make it out of this... feedback needed ASAP. We need to act fast before the next night comes around.

Anyway let's see. If the detective list can be trusted, then let's consider that one of the votes was an Elder- and it's highly likely that the elders are stacking their votes. Therefore, only 10 people total lynched the mayor, so only 9 of them are townies. We should consider this, yes- but a 1/10 chance to lynch someone is less good odds than a 13/46, so we have to consider beyond that.
I suggest ignoring that group of people for the time being as vote candidates, because then our odds get reduced to a 12/36(1/3!) chance- better all around. This is all assuming the detective is not lying, but at this point in the game, town is pretty boned without a miracle, so that's a chance I'm willing to take.
Mostly reiteration of what the detective said, I think. Anyhow.
dinmsab has the idea that townies with roles should submit information to a singular 'head' who is a proven townie. An Elder could fit that criteria. They possess a demonstratable power that can be used to confirm them as town- bascially, all they have to do is show they control two votes. I could support this, and do. *You can trust an Elder*- we just need one to speak up for the time being and be willing to risk themselves.
ONLY ONE Elder should do this at a time. It is *too much* of a risk to out all our remaining power roles to a potential mafia. An Elder is our only chance.
Bodyguards can't be mafia, din.

I guess I'm mostly inherently suspicious of people who don't qualify their votes when they change them. Unfortunately that's nearly everyone, and they tend to come out in droves. I tried to analyze voting patterns, and... the lists just stared at me, and I stared back, and I couldn't come to any strong conclusions. The idea that only one mafia member was voting for Fakesteve baffles me, I've got to say.
Bah, I'm having serious trouble just keeping my enthusiasm for this game high. I'm gonna come back tomorrow, I can't face looking through all these pages at the moment. Repeated failure has taken it's toll on me. |
