Episode 2 - Idra[Media] - March 2, 2008 @ 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST / 2200 GMT / 2300 CET
After a great first run of Teamliquid Attack, we are hard at work to make the second episode a reality. The staff and organizers were really pleased with the turn out of Teamliquid community members both during the live cast and with post event discussion. This will be a busy weekend with the GSI Finals, Liquibition 23 AND Tl.net Attack so there will be alot of content to offer.
Recap of Episode 1 As you can expect from a first broadcast of a live show we had our share of technical hiccups to start but were sailing smooth the rest of the event. Some great games were played, ESPECIALLY by superiorwolf who won the MASTER mousepad which was donated by esports hardware manufactuer esportnova.com
You can hear SuperiorWolf's thoughts on his winning match here
The replays and Vods are available for download so if you haven’t already, check them out!
Episode 2 – Idra! If you don’t know who Greg “Idra” Fields is by now, you’ve been living under a bush. This American terran most recently won the Estro challenge, beating out other top American players and showing great games against members of the Estro team. He will be on his way to Korea very shortly to begin training with the team and has been practicing profusely for the last few months.
We are really blessed to have Idra playing given that this will probably be his last public event before he goes to Estro – TEAMLIQUID, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! Show up to the live broadcast this Sunday where you will have the chance to play against this top tier Terran and show him and the rest of the community what you are made of!
Format Changes After our first episode we went back to the round table and discussed what worked and what didn’t. We took into careful consideration the community feedback we received and are confident with these new format changes.
1) Observers – The observer and commentators will only be viewing our Star Guest. With this change we will be able to add more insight and need to be concerned with giving an “unfair” advantage to our Pro. 2) Challengers – Must give their TL ID to one of our commentators (not the obs) before or after the match. This is so we don’t have to chase you down in the event that you are chosen as our best player of the day.
Prize Changes As mentioned before, the fine folks over at esportnova have donated some merchandise to support this event. After seeing and hearing the success of our first episode, esportnova are upgrading the mousepad prizes from the KILLER series to the MASTER series!
You can check out the MASTER series pads specs here.
How To Watch A news post will be made prior to the stream going live which will include details on how to watch live in VLC or WMM. VODs and Replays will be released after the event is complete.
Last week was a real success even with a lack of microphone for our player, and the staff and inControl had a great time. In our second episode lets show Idra a great show of support before he heads off to Korea!
See you this weekend
How To Play Once you tune in live, we will be announcing what channel we will be in. We will be on US West so all you have to do is have the stream running in the background and hop onto West.
