Enigma ran his hand through his hair and said "So we're going to gut this town clean and take it over, eh? No more of this bullshit protection, thats grand!"
I looked at every profile picture, and his hair is the only hair that stands out. Not to mention he looks he looks 'enigmatic.' Nothing concrete, of course.
Also, where can one learn what Dr.Dragoon did?

Anyone at this point could be mafia, the only way I can think of assessing who should be chosen for major is the amount of damage that they do to the mafia in their campaigning. That is, to say, whoever is providing the best non-trust related plan to elimate the mafia. Empyrean's problem is that he's calling on trust as the vital part of his election platform, not giving forth a plan that can be run regardless of who the major is.
Now, a mafia member could be giving us this destructive plan to get rid of the major position (for if a mafia member is elected its basicly going to be his speedy death.) But this doesn't matter. We cannot tell if anyone is mafia, so we may as well reward the best thinker. If a mafia member creates a better non-trust related plan than any legit townie could, what does it matter? He's done his share in helping us as he has enabled us to elimate his allies quicker than we could of envisioned. Also, this encourages legitimate majors to try harder.
So come on Empyrean, start dishing us some good shit if you want votes.

I don't know why we are even considering that Empyrean is a detective. Its all trust, which we can have none of at this point.

With 3 other detectives, you can still find out who voted for the major lynch candidates (2-3), and maybe even have room to target specific people. That, and vigilantes and other powerful townies are free to rape. Empyrean can be verified once as mafia or not, and he can give public information gathered by other dts and PMed to him, without revealing the identities of the other dts. If he is mayor or pardoner, he is protected and can still post what other dts send him. He'd become kind of a public announcer person that can give data that townies normally wouldnt get w/o a dt. As long as empyrean gets a protected role and is dt, then we get a huge advantage.
you're trusting someone before there is any accountability, ignore anyone's promises or word.

vote for him because he gave has the unfounded statement 'I'm a detective.' Its fairly easy to understand this is not a reason to vote for him.

Its fairly easy to understand this is not a reason to vote for him. Concise argument against voting for Empyrean. Since I don't trust his word at all, we're left with a 20/130 chance that Empyrean is mafia and a 4/130 chance that he's a detective. Try it on.
I also do not see it as an argument against him, for anyone could be posing as anything: motive is impossible to determine. I would say vote for Empyrean if he is doing the most harm to the mafia now.
But, if a pattern is seen in those who support his logic and him later in the game, this would be very indicative.

Figuring out for sure if Empyrean is mafia is fairly important. If he is it will be easy to figure out atleast where to look for a few more members.

I just want to comment, we can't go crazy with detective role checking. Only get a couple shots with it and there are plenty of people.

I think someone needs a lollipop.
Too bad I don't have any special powers.
Oh, wait: to annoy!

I'm going to have to agree with Eti, we really should always try and tie who we lynch to a clue.

Are we sure Ace isn't Mafia? If someone could link me to a page that explains why he isn't that would be great.
|
Ace, make sure all these people are PM'd in the vote spliting, the group of 7 should be easy enough to organize but its going to take a miracle for a well organized split of the 29. Its definately worth a try, though.
|
Also, if this splitting causes the wrong person to be lynched, he can just be pardoned (not sure if this has been mentioned, I haven't time right now but to skim.)
|
exams and papers are done. is anyone maintaining a clue list?
|
I voted for ace's suggestions, but nemy's gotta be hanged asap.
|
Also, you've got to start thinking that all the useful roles except 1 bodyguard dying is a little less than coinidence.
|
Why aren't we double lynching every night? Seems like their are plenty of people we could go for along with randombum?

I did, and it said 'x' lynches, was not sure of the total used.
edit: I looked over it again and see the information now. this is what I get for pulling lungs all afternoon.

Is there a compiled list of relevant clues?
