General Information It's time for the biggest league of the year again. The league that every team covets above all other leagues, where teams get to show off not only their star players, but also train their players of the future.
The 2008 Shinhan Bank Proleague is not about separate players, and it's not about single victories, it's about teams, and how teams come together to produce consistent results.
Last year Lecaf showed that their repeated use of key players, along with a strong team game, gave them the edge in the end, but who will win this season? Which team has both the strength and the determination to battle it out for six months, five days a week? Only time will tell!
Teams There will be twelve teams this season, the same twelve from last season. No changes have been made to the teams, although many line-up changes have been made. Click on the image below for more details

Format The Proleague 2008 season is a transitional proleague between the old format, and the new 2008/2009 season which will have a completely different format. As such, this season is equivalent to half of last year's season, with two matches being played between all teams. This works out to a grand total of 22 matches per team, or 132 matches in total.
Season Information
Each match consists of potentially five games, with the team that first gets three wins, winning. The matches follow the following set pattern: 1v1, 1v1, 2v2, 1v1, closer. The players for the first four games of each match are announced before the match begins, while the players used in the closer are decided if a closer is reached.
Match Information
Players can only be used once per match. Closer matches are the exception to this, in which a player can be used for a second time during the match.
Schedule The proleague will be played five days a week, from Saturday to Wednesday. Only on Thursday and Friday will no games be played.
The Schedule
Two matches will be broadcasted per day, one on OGN, and one on MBCGame. With two matches being played per day, there will be more proleague games played per week than the MSL and OSL put together!
Maps For this season we have been given four new 1v1 maps, and one new 2v2 map. Added to that we have updated version of Blue Storm and Katrina in the 1v1 section, and we see the return of the brilliant old Hunters in the 2v2 section.

Credits I would like to thank Pachi above all for his help with the statistics. Thanks to him gathering these stats has been made much easier. Pachi also made the "Season Information" picture in this thread, from which I got the theme for the all the other pics. Thanks Pachi!
Thanks to SonuvBob for the detailed match statistics. This really saves me a lot of time!
Finally, I would also like to thank KizZBG for the wonderful banner as usual. I love it!

Fuck that. Terran is the race of big dicked Vikings who rampage across the galaxies in huge battleships, rip up the ground with artillery spawned from the forges of hell, and send waves of valiant warriors to fight the freaks of science.

I can't wait for the statistics to start coming in! Last seasons proleague update news posts (as well as just all the information in the R&S thread in general) were probably the entries I looked forward to the most.
