I hear that. In exactly the same position myself, can't imagine using anything else after all this time. |

Yeah I bought one already in case my MX518 will die. Hope they never stop producing them. Maybe make one with USB3 in the future. |

How light is it compared to something like a deathadder? I've had a mini optical for like 3 years and it's starting to hurt my hand after playing for a while.Last edit: 2010-12-10 12:15:47 |

I think it's slightly heavier than a death adder, the teflon feet make it feel like it is part of your hand though.Last edit: 2010-12-10 12:17:29 |

Just switched over to a Razer DeathAdder from a Logitech Mini Optical (weights and springs removed) as a gift to myself from Black Friday.
Took me a while to get used to the sensitivity and the larger size, but I'm finally getting used to the speed at which the mouse operates. Had to boot into Windows to update the firmware, but now all is well on the Mac side.
Drivers work awesome, the mouse is extremely smooth with the Steelseries QCK pad. Showing off the lights when I feel like it adds a nice touch.
Overall, very awesome mouse and satisfied with my purchases. |

| It's interesting that prediction/angle snapping and pos/neg acceleration isn't being discussed in detail in this thread. Those factors are of major importance to FPS players. Most FPS players use either a WMO, IMO1.1, 3.0, DeathAdder or Abyssus because they have no prediction or inherent acceleration. This makes for highly accurate mouse movements. |

Logitech G500. Got it a couple of weeks ago, very happy with it. I've previously used MX510 and MX518, both of which were great. When my MX518 died, I chose the G500 because I was used to Logitech's design with the ergonomic grip (for my hands at least). Buttons are good and responsive. I use it on a func 1030 mat I've been using for like 7 years now.

Just FYI, Dynex is a brand manufactured by Best Buy and there is an absurd markup on virtually all products/peripherals and the simpler the product (eg. ethernet cable) the bigger margin. Not to say that they're necessarily poor quality, but their prices are inflated far more than other brands (MS, Logitech, whoever). |

| I use a 4 year old MS Optical 3000, the ergonomic design + button layout is ideal for me and the drivers are great. Pointer precision is starting to fade and I will soon order a baller Razer mouse. I've heard they're really good and they're just so damn cool. :o |
