When i used to play zerg i found this guide very useful:

Its very clear and exact on supply counts and easy to practice until you can do it in your sleep. Once I felt very good at doing that BO I started to improvise and do different nuances of it.

I have tried to search the strategy forum for strict solid guides like this for terran but havent found any. the ones Ive found are more generel guidelines on what to build.

Anyone know where to find some exact build orders for the most common and solid terran openings?

The recommended threads thread was the first one i looked in. And as i said they are more general guidelines on what to build than exact build borders, which is what im looking for.

I think daze's guide in the recommended threads is what you are looking for, when to build stuff and why to build stuff. Although it requires some reading and is not exact after like 12 units which is normal because you do have an opponents you needs some responding to.

Yeah the reason why you won't find specific terran guidelines is that FE terran (which is standard now) is extremely dependent on what the Z is doing. In other words, it's purely reactionary to what the zerg is doing.

Personally, this is how I play TvZ:
I start off with 11 and 13 rax and scout in time to see what the Z is doing. There are basically two things that zerg will do: 12 hatch and not 12 hatch

12 hatch
If you see 12 hatch, don't even bother producing marines -- just build your cc right away. From there, if you think it's safe, you don't have to produce that many marines before teching. If you feel a little unsafe, get a decent force of rines 6-8 before you put up your academy.

9 pool
If you see a 9 pool (which you see occasionally), keep that scv alive and see if he produces lots of lings. If he produces 6 or more and they don't chase your scv around -- send some scvs to block your ramp and you can start your cc as soon as you have the minerals.

9 pool with gas before 3rd hatch
if he produces 6 lings and then decides he wants to go for a 2 hatch build, it's either all-in speed lings or fast muta/lurker. Defend the initial lings then throw down a bunker at your nat and send out an scv to see how many lings he has and if you can -- how many drones he has. You don't have to take your nat because zerg is really low in econ at this point. Fewer drones, you can assume lings but just play it safe and try to narrow your choke with depots while getting your acad & ebay. Don't be afraid to throw down lots of static defense becaues if you defend their attack with minimal losses, you're way ahead.

Ok thanks for the tips.

I will follow Dazes guidelines but use 1 rax FE isntead of 2 rax vs Z.

And I'll analyze some top players replays and write down and copy their build orders depending on what the enemy is doing.
