| Whores and baby killings in all of 3 minutes, yep it's definitely GoT. Great first episode, particularly liked the scene with the wildling talking about his 'wives', the camera panning over them, turned my stomach. |

| I love the Stannis actor, he looks totally different from what i expected but he knows exactly how to play this role. I loved every of the few sentences he spoke. |

This episode should of been 2 hours. Even as an avid reader of the books I was a bit confused how quick Stannis and Melisandre were introduced! I can't imagine non-book readers taking in that scene and understanding everything. Tyrion did a good job. Just wish when he said "of course you do" after Sansa sprouted her brainwashed loyalty to Joffery it came off with a wee bit more sarcasm and sympathy toward Sansa as he did in the books.
Craser was creepy but he was too.. "clean" an fat? I expected more rough and cruel. Also if you live beyond the wall you think you'd not have a rickety "hall" with obvious holes in the siding vs the cold/wind.
Oh I hate that this season is 10 eps. Really needed 13 !Last edit: 2012-04-03 01:26:09 |

| I pictured Davos (Stannis' onion knight) more raggy and peasant like when reading the books. But I like this one aswell. |

Disagree that he fucked up, I think the show is just making Littlefinger more willing to provoke a bit of physicality. It all happens in range of a spy (the camera zooms out past a child watching the whole thing) implying that in the end knowledge is more valuable than the power at hand. |

| The real question of this episode is Where are Craster's sons? |

I have to say that the introduction of Melisandre/Stannis during the burning of the Old Gods could have been better. My girlfriend who hasn't read the books was confused and I had to pause it to explain what was going on.
+ Show Spoiler +Also, no shots of Davos' fingerless hand? Or did I miss it? Last edit: 2012-04-03 01:45:56 |

i think that scene was good , Littlefinger knew that Cersei would never have his throat slit , he was just satisfying one of her little self aggrandizing powertrips. |

It's implied that he has no sons. Since this would be a statistical feat considering how many daughters he has, one can assume he either drives out the male children to die or kills them himself. |

| If Littlefinger didn't know before but now he knows Cersei is a short-sighted brute who approaches everything with hamfests to get her away now he can easily outmanipulate her with his wits. "Guards kill him" won't fix everything! |

Agreed, this scene helps solidify the idea that Cersei is a little too big for her britches. |

it was something like this Tyrion: You love the smell of dead bodies and shit? Shae: And cum and garlic and rum. she's a whore after all, what do you expect? :D

This. He was never described as an impressive man by any means. |

| I liked the scene with Cersei and Littlefinger because it filled in something that I thought was missing in the first season. Cersei thinks she is in control but whether she actually is is in question. |

| It's like the writing of the show gets better and better. The sheer amount of plot they've managed to compress into a single episode with the season premiere while still delivering a coherent story and a lot of attention to details is amazing. If this is a taste for what's to come in season 2, I'm very excited. |

As from my observation Cersei is so paranoid about everything, although she should be.
Great first episode of the season 2. Wish it was NEXT monday already :D |

Yeah I read the books but it took me a while to realize they were burning statues of the 7. To bad it's only 10 episodes some of it just goes a bit to fast but all in all it was a great episode from a great TV series. |
