Great newspost.

The Free Agent system seems really well thought out. Maybe because it's really complex I can't think of any immediate weaknesses off the top of my head. But it seems like they put quite a bit of effort into it.

honestly, this actually gives the high-revenue teams more since they're the only ones that can afford to pay the compensation fee.

But it's much biased against big money teams than a regular FA system, where all teams battle it out on equal grounds.

Meh

epic newspost.. great job, really.
I think that the free agency is gonna have potential to really revitalize progaming and create interesting/fun storylines.

Ohman, thank you sooooooo much for writing this up. So many questions were answered about the free-agent thing, and it was fantastically written. =) Thank you so so much! I'm really glad that when this finally becomes active I won't be completely in the dark about the process.

Awesome news. FA could really change some teams, but I think most of their teams want to keep the stars and will pay quiet something for that!

Thanks a bundle, this makes things crystal clear for me.
The day will come when someone from the present or future species will rise up and say, 'This world is mine from now on, and the key to all powers belongs to me!' This day will surely come because avarice and violence harbor in the hearts of all species.

Kinda sad about the last part of the interview, but its something not that rational, so nevermind.

mnm's last name sounds really familiar though.

it's funny the amount of times it's mentioned "Korea" in the last part of the interview.

Great News, thanks for clearing this up! (and yes, i'm was also surprised by the 200% salary issue)

Since we don't know the length of these players' contracts, it would be fruitless to wonder where everything stand. It's possible that many of these players have contracts extended beyond the date of FA. This shouldn't just pertain to Luxury, but other players like Savior and Stork too. Just because KTF bought his contract from OGN doesn't mean his contract is any longer than the other players.

I don't think KTF just bought Lux's OGN contract with the same years/conditions/salary ala NBA. Lux must have got a new top-dollar multi-year contract to join KTF. This is what has been bothering me. I'm guessing that the eligible players mentioned can become FA AFTER their contracts expire, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense. The fact that these players have to choose between become FAs or not... well, shouldn't they have to choose after their contracts expire and not right now?

Meh, anyways, this KeSPA FA system sucks. I hope nothing of it is definitive and they soon make the proper changes.

I think any system dont matter for rich teams like samsung, skt and lecaf. I can see their star players don't ever want to leave their teams due to good prospect of salary and sponsership in the future. Just look at how many times a samsung or skt player left their team. Its rare. Rather its bisu joining skt.

They should do something to help weaker teams retain their star players since the objective is to maintain the competitive edge.
