The TeamLiquid Xmas celebrations have always begun with the highly successful 2v2 tournament help earlier today. As you can probably see, Yan and Westside devastated the competition and won themselves $50 for their efforts. There were some pretty close games, and some highly entertaining ones as well. I highly recommend watching Intrigue and FrozenArbiter's games (Reebo) as well as Yan and Westside's (WestYanLand). The entire replay pack can be found here
Huge thanks to Funkie and Hot_bid for helping out with the running of the tournament as well as all the players who turned out which made this tournament such a success. I'd also like to thank http://binarybeast.com for their nifty brackets and support throughout the tournament. Good work guys! With the 2v2 tournament now over, here's what you can enjoy over the next few days...
This will be streamed at 4pm EST on the 29th (6am KST on the 30th, 10pm CET on the 29th). There will be a separate thread made which will have the stream link as per any other TL broadcast. These VODs will be given a brief introduction by some of the TL staff explaining some of the context surrounding the VOD and enlightening everyone on some BW history. The games will not be commentated on, as without a clean VOD things get really messy. With that said, the number of times the Korean Commentators go crazy more than makes up for the lack of commentary 
We've had some technical and personal difficulties over the holidays which has prevented us from doing the stream on the 27th as originally intended. Nevertheless, it will be worth the wait as the vods are as good as they come! So we'll see you on the 29th.
The map pool has been finalized and a time set! You can tune in to watch the Xmas Liquibition Special at 2pm EST on the 28th (4am KST on the 29th, 8pm CET on the 28th) where you'll see Liquid`Drone battle Twisted on possibly the best map list of all time. Here is the map list;
Because this map pool is just so awesome, we've decided that all seven games of the series will be played no matter the score.
You can tune into the Teamliquid: Attack! Xmas Special featuring Chill at 2pm EST on the 3rd of January (4am KST on the 4th, 8pm CET on the 3rd). A more specialized post detailing the instructions on how to get a game with Chill as well as giving the stream information will be made closer to the time. The reason for the change in time here is to accommodate more people as this has proved to be the resounding favorite for the Xmas events. So we figure putting it on a weekend would allow more people to participate and watch than a Monday. So we'll see you next week for this epic event.
Racewars sign ups will open shortly; keep your eye on the Brood War forum for the registration post. Signups will close one day before the event and groups will be assigned. All the detailed information will be available from the Brood War forum thread once it is created. This event is still going ahead, as planned, on the 30th.
