It's not a beautiful ui or anything but it does cover all basic and advance functions and fully compatible with extracting all common files. Along with that its compression LMZA .7z format tends to do better then .rar can do with winrar. And yes winrar can open a .7z file it's a very compatible format. I prefer this over the next one I will suggest. Seriously if all you do is extract files with your stolen copy of winrar fucking stop and use 7zip. IZarc and Peazip have a better ui but scene I don't spend shitloads of time decompressing and compressing just use extract all to folder/ I prefer the smaller more effected 7-zip

Anyways spend an hour or 2 learning the new layout of what does what and you'll be satisfied with GIMP.

You can't play real player shit on it but neither can VLC just get real alternative. Yes MPC HomeCinema is actually free and you Linux tards can install it on your computer if you have the balls. Paint.net - a free photoshop with basic functionality. 100x better than standard paint.
Notepad++ - say goodbye to regular shitty notepad. Has tabbed documents, word wrap, etc.

I use Avast for anti virus protection and Search and Destroy for spyware.
Avast and AVG are just as good and both are free. The only real different is the look of the program lol.
