Honestly, i fly around 0.2/0.1 in my pod all the time.
I rat there and sometimes take a jump or 2 to Syndicate 0.0, which is swarming with our reds .
My +4s are fine, I've never been podded. In fact, it's pretty much impossible to be podded in non-0.0 as long as you are actually at your computer.

If you're not a complete idiot its nearly impossible to get podded in lowsec. If your ship is about to explode just pick a celestial object and spam warp; when you explode you keep spamming warp and your pod should leave instantly. The only hope that people have of catching your pod is if they have a sensor boosted interceptor on the ball and ready to lock you, and even then you'll most likely get away because you literally warp *instantly*. Only real way for you to die is lag, and even then the other guys might get lag as well and be unable to lock you in time.

After my ship got killed because i warped to late and got scrambled (in the very first pvp event i ever was) i thought it was the smart idea to autopilot my pod home to osti... At the first Stargate i got killed by the same guys that killed my ship before... Actually I saw them warp past me to the gate (while i stopped 15km away from the gate, autopilot yay!) and was so braindead to not instantly turn around ^^.

But well, that will never ever happen again!

Go out there and taste freedom. I guess being born and raised in lowsec makes the place less scary, but it's truly not a dangerous place if you're in a fast ship and paying attention.

As a rookie in the corp, I'm not really in a position to say what truly caused the split.
I barely logged a few ops with TCSI before Liquid Inc was born and many TL pilots joined the new corp.

Still, the split certainly caused a fair bit of drama. There are plenty of TL pilots left in TCSI, both veterans and newbies. And some of the non-TL pilots in TCSI became fast friends as well.
The tragedy in this is that we lost some friends and divided resources. TCSI is short on numbers (for pvp at least) and Liquid Inc (corporate Ticker: SCBW ) is short on more experienced pilots to dish out DPS in combat (at the moment).
The good thing is that we now have a corp that is fully geared towards pvp combat.

As far as I know, we don't need a new Vent server. So, thanks for the use of the server until now.

Our HQ is one jump out of highsec (Stacmon, 0.6). Unless the Gate to our lowsecsystem is camped with smartbombers (which never happened so far), you should be fine. If you fly bigger ships out there you could also ask some of us to scout for you real quick, that's no problem at all. (Since the NPC navy doesn't like me anymore for being a mean pirate I'm getting used to sneak BCs out of highsec )

But, yeah. If you experience any lag issues at all I wouldn't recommend using that clone for pewpew. If you don't you should be fine. Just keep that warp button spammed if you just blew up

Just as a sidenote. Liquid Inc. has about 25 members now, 23 of those are TL members. In TCSI are about 4-5 TL guys remaining. Shame on those who prefer ratting and ISK over pewpew.

The split was caused by "Hey, what's wrong?" - "This, that, and this totally pisses me off... we could make a TL corp.." - "Okay, I'll try to talk to them. Don't be hot headed." [... 1 week later] ... "GOD I'M SO PISSED OFF AS WELL RIGHT NOW, LET'S DO IT!"

Basicly we looked at a non-TL leadership (without any of us being Inc.Ontrol after Dexxus managed to get ursurped), an alliance who pvp'd worse than us newbs ("Hey, lets suicide a few Battleships and blame it on bad luck lolololol!!") ...

Now we lack SP & numbers a bit, but the guys who are 2-3 months into the game PWN at it, I'd say. We have okayish Fleet Commanding, guys who make more money with trading than some Vets, everyone knows how to fit their ships and how to cause havoc in battles with the little stuff we have is learned fast as well.

The first 2 weeks after you start are kinda boring imo because you have to get all those learning skills in asap and can barely fly a frigate. If you know "I will start in 2 weeks", start your account now and get those learnings done asap

After 4-5 weeks you can fly cruisers for pvp, after about 2 months you can make enough ISK to lose a ton of them.

Oh, for vent. I totally set up a new 20 slot one for the new corp. Actually we should have forced the old TCSI guys out of your server, Mango. But, hey, they lack balls now, we can't steal their vent for now :D ... Also a few TLers are left there, so, our new one is booked for 3 months now. After that we'll hit you up if you still let us in. (:

I don't really prefer ratting and ISK over pewpew, but with Vil (who just recently left for a Serbian based Corp) and Kwark still in TCSI, I can't just leave.

I owe them a little loyalty, because they helped me out greatly in the beginning. Also Amish and the crew are nice people. I'm not denying the fact that me staying in TCSI is not the most clever decision for me, cause they are now completely US-based and I find myself often alone in the corp chat (living in Germany, dont let the Iraq next to my nickname fool you... that's my heritage). But until the time I feel I have repayed my debt to the corp and esp. the people who helped me, I can't leave.

I totally agree with rEvo though, that PVP > Ratting/ISK, for obvious reasons. And I must also admit that I miss OPs, we barely get anything going these days. Furthermore, I must admit that I have NO clue what Primary. is doing and I have zero involvement in alliance OPs or politics.

So basically, yeah: me joining SCBW would be the best and wisest thing to do and most likely, if you'll still let me, I will. But not just yet.

@ Avius. I'll still help you even if you leave TCSI. I'm not helping you just because you're in corp, I'm helping you because you're tl. I have about the same level of involvement in all the alliance bs as you do, I never got involved in that side of the corp. If you feel you owe me then whatever (although I got a free month of gameplay so I owe you) but no need to stay in the corp if you don't share my reasons for staying, be loyal to me, not my corp.

For the same reason if any of you in liquid inc are a man down on an op I would be more than willing to help out, especially if you need a scanner to find those foolish lowsec mission runners. Just a week now then astrometrics time.

I stayed in TCSI because I'm not active enough to be useful on these regular pvp ops, I'm happy going on every few days and doing a mission. When I have more free time I'll probably switch over. It's not a big thing to me which corp I'm in, it just seemed simpler to stay than to move and then not do much in the tl corp.

r.Evo fails to point out that:

a.) 0.0 PvP and Lowsec PvP are complete different beasts. You rarely see Capitals or Bubbles in Lowsec, whereas they are everywhere in 0.0. Yesterday, an alliance pilot lost a BS to a 20 man Goonswarm camp (we are < 5 Jumps for Period Basis). I haven't seen any 20 man camps in Placid before.

b.) Yes, they lost a few BSes poorly, r.Evo fails to mention that the next night they killed those same people for more isk than they lost.

c.) r.Evo lost like 3B isk 2 weeks ago, getting ganked by a Drake in hisec (Drakes have laughable DPS) because he didnt bother fitting his ship properly. He also lost 500M+ isk in a similar incident a few months ago. I think it's a little disingenous to say that "Oh, the Alliance loses so much isk" when he loses three times more.

d.) Non-TL Leadership never really affected our Low-Sec PvP, they could PvP just fine.

It is completely inaccurate to say that living in 0.0 means ratting and making isk and no pew pew. 0.0 has NO RULES you can pew pew whenever you want. It is just mroe difficult and requires better ships.

By the way, if you do want to live in 0.0 with many TCSI, you really need to be able to fly a BC or larger to make decent money, but the money is much better than missioning.

Edit: Most importantly, having fun is all that matters, whether that be Low-Sec PvP'ing, 0.0 PvPing, Hi-Sec Missioning or mining. We all lost isk, when it happens, you can just make some more. I don't really care what our killboard looks like, last time I checked, Goonswarm has a terrible Killboard, yet they are the most powerful alliance in EVE.

That would be so much easier if EVE actually started. I've spend the last 2 days downloading and patching and trying to get 88737 to work but I still get the same result. The splash screen comes on and disappears after 10s. I've updated all my drivers, sent like 5 bug reports, deleted my cache folders a thousand times and nothing. I found a forum post where someone said he has the same problem and it was because of his graphic card. Have none of you had any similar problems?

Btw, my graph card is a GF 6600 GT.

That fixed it for me once, but then it stopped working again. So what I did was deleted the cache file for EVE (can't quite remember where it was but you can look it up) and it worked fine.

This is true. It's also the reason why lowsec is so much more interesting to me than 0.0. In lowsec, you're always on the move, hunting down kills. In 0.0, there's a lot of waiting around and gatecamping in order to defend territory. One thing Primary does really well is gatecamps, I'll give them that.

b.) Yes, they lost a few BSes poorly, r.Evo fails to mention that the next night they killed those same people for more isk than they lost.

Was it during a gatecamp?

c.) r.Evo lost like 3B isk 2 weeks ago, getting ganked by a Drake in hisec (Drakes have laughable DPS) because he didnt bother fitting his ship properly. He also lost 500M+ isk in a similar incident a few months ago. I think it's a little disingenous to say that "Oh, the Alliance loses so much isk" when he loses three times more.

I was there, and this allegation is bullshit. Fitting a large shield extender or two (or three) wouldn't have meant anything... it was in a 0.5 system, so CONCORD was slow to respond. The drake was sensor boosted and got an instant lock. Also seeing as the stuff was bought with my money, not revo's, you can probably guess whether you or me has thought about whose fault it was. It's no one's fault; transporting goods safely out of Jita involves being able to fly ships that are beyond our skill point level at the moment.

d.) Non-TL Leadership never really affected our Low-Sec PvP, they could PvP just fine.

Those kills weren't during a gatecamp, I believe it was a hotdrop and a large fleet.

And with regard to the Legion, you could have effective doubled your EHP with extenders, or just not have transported that in an indy. You should have either not bought it at all or gone through .8 / .9 systems etc.

Yeah you fucking moron seeing as you can't deploy bubbles in lowsec you'll never see them at all.

(Drakes have laughable DPS)

Maybe because all the people you've seen fly drakes have all been idiots.

I have no idea who the fuck you are or what carebear alliance you're in but you're clearly a total failure that came here to troll people so kindly fuck off.
