Movies that make you cry

The only thing that makes me cry is a movie. I dont know what it is, but these movies always get me....

rudy - i have cried every single time i have seen this movie, it just kills me.

turner and hooch - when hooch dies, I cant help it

remember the titans - first time i saw this movie i was bawling. its always the football movies.

congo - when amy looks back over her shoulder then walks away, i just started bawling. yeah, i dont know what it was about this movie, but it was pretty fucked up.

Kinda weird movie choice to cry in, especially considering I was laughing my head off in the pianist, which most people do actually cry in. Meh, whatever.

Old Yeller? wtf? :O!

serious note: crying = your empathy for the characters in the movie, so it depends your personality. I for one have a rather larger understanding of people/events/emotions so i tend to feel the connection alot. From there its like a ride from the director, what he wants you to see, feel, etc.

Ive cried at alot of movies, note worthy:

A.I. = i saw it with my mom
John Q = willing to go through all that... for his son
Moulin Rouge = come what may?
there are many more, but i think in order to really analyze it. You gotta think about it in more understanding terms of judgement than personal preference. Skill of the Director/producing. Quality of the film (overall). Acting quality (how can u cry in a shitty movie?) And most important, the 'message' or the emotion, and how well its presented. er, 12pm no sleep, im rambling...

"(how can u cry in a shitty movie?)"

You realized that you just pissed away $9.00 on a shitty movie. Something very worthwhile to cry on.

I honestly can't say I have ever actually cried during a movie. I've felt like it, or been saddened by them a lot, but never actually cried. I've cried while reading books, though.

The best thing about Whats Eating Gilbert Grape was Leonardo DiCaprio playing a retarded person. He's constantly picking his noise and such throughout the movie.

I don't think I've cried in any movies. Teary eyed a time or two maybe, but... *shrug*. Real life is enough tragedy for me

Teary eyed in Schindler's List, The Green Mile and Gladiator. They are the only ones recently that i can think of. I can't remember if there were any before then, though there probably was and I dont remember actually ever full out crying during a movie, (other then when my brother used to bash me up!) probably when i was a kid during some movie but i can't recall.

I watched "i am sam" which someone else mentioned but i got so bored i gave up half way through, i am guessing he got the kid and lived happily ever after?

ahhh not a bad ending, i couldnt get into it because i was told he wins the case but personally i dont think he should be responsible for a child so i was disagreeing with the fundamentals of the movie which made it boring for me.

The Cider House Rules

I'd seen this movie for like 5 times, and when I showed it to my girlfriend and I knew what was gonna happen I started crying at the 10 minute mark and never really stopped until the movie was over. That evening was a blast...

Ive never really cried during a movie, but Lion King was by far the saddest movie ive seen.

empire of the sun! great movie, didnt cry though.

i laughed in lion king, when the father died.

Something about sad movies makes me laugh. I thought it was the funniest thing ever in the pianist when the girl got shot in the head and kind of fell over and folded up, i was hysterical.

Its the uplifting, happy stuff that makes me cry (or a heroic dog)

Shawshank got my eyes teary.

john q i didnt feel much, titanic i fell asleep
