I can help anyone out who wants to get better at Soldier. (Or Scout/Medic/Demo/Sniper, but I'm best at Soldier)
I've been playing TF2 competitively for about a year and a half(6v6, no silly highlander stuff), so I can provide some good tips and demo reviews. :> (I can not help you with weird shit like huntsman or demoknight though..)

Hi! I just joined the TL group on steam and wanted to state a humble request to my fellow TLers. I play TF2 casually, still having a basic account, and I'm having just zero luck with item drops. Holy shit are the new weapons bad. Valve acts as if the problem were that there were just too many people playing medics as is. This makes me kind of glad I don't play anymore...
Since the patch I'm having a strange bug / glitch when playing Engineer equipped with Frontier Justice / Pistol / Gunslinger.
I love to use the frontier + mini sentry combo in order to get revenge crits, well since the patch I get infinite revenge crits. Apparently the buff doesn't disappear unless I die or come too close to a soldier who uses a buff banner. This is kind of game-breaking tbh, personally even though I'm a newbie, I did quite a lot of damage during the couple of games that I played post-patch.
Here's a screenshot featuring the revenge buff (sparking weapon) while I have 0 revenge remaining.

Hey mates, in 6 days I will be able to play tf2 again, but so far I have only played it for run and I have not even watched a pro match so yet. I got a question : What weapons are used in a clanwar ? What is the normal scout equipment e.t.c. (I hope its the scattergun), what maps do I need to play and what form? CTF, CP, arena ? Its not like I want to join a clan and start playing in 6 days but I can at least play with the right equipment and on the right maps, so that I can maybe play for real once in a while
Oh : And the classes I really do not like are soldier,demo and medic. I would assume that for their damage output/healing, those 3 are important ... so what other classes get played ? I always was more of a sniper/engeineer/scout player (well 4th would be pyro, airblast/reflect/flare gun kills are just too funny)
I do not need a 1000 word essay on how to play, just give me the basics. (weapons,maps, maybe where to play if I want to get better) Thanks !

scattergun is core for scout, and i like to use bonk! if its not banned. Generally a scout or soldier, depending on map, position or player preference, will swap out to a utility class- spy, sniper, engineer, heavy, pyro in an attempt to nullify or gain an advantage

It's been a while...but this game just keeps getting better.
I finally resigned to my inner compulsions and bought a hat. And then this game became amazing, without having to manage my inventory every ten minutes while having a decent loadout choice for each class.
