Couldn't agree more. 18 is such a tear jerker.
Ushio's seiyu (Satomi Koorogi) pulls off that cute-little-girl voice so well. Can't believe she's actually in her 40s. o.O |

I must've been desensitized by something or another since at best Clannad put me in an awfully sad mood. Well, knowing what happens kind of help I suppose
Then again the VN didn't do a thing either, Key losing their touch for pure emotional drama, Rewrite needs to deliver~!
Almost forgot Umineko raws show up today, have to confess I have almost no interest when it comes to episode 2. |

I'm starting to watch Kaze no Stigma right now (on Episode 4), anyone here seen it?
I've also blew past Baekmonogatari =). Chrno Crusade's end was pretty sad for me as well. (Clannad ending) + Show Spoiler +And guys remember, Clannad had a happy ending =D. That's what I remember from it so I don't continue to feel sad. Last edit: 2009-08-13 13:36:34 |

| Tensai, learn to use spoilers dude. Most people here have seen it but just.. use spoilers. Saying anything about the ending of any anime is pretty much taboo. Even hinting at what it does is terrible. |

I thought I expressed my opinion on Key often enough for people to know that I actually prefer what I am describing, or should I change my nationality to Romania?
What are you talking about Tensai, Clannad's ending is absolutely devastating. If that doesn't make you sad you might not have a shred of humanity in you.
Bakemonogatari so good though, can't get enough of Hitagi. |

gdi, Sighs. If this puts off disappearance I am going to be so sad.
Time to look to Haruhi-chan as canon, nothing can beat an eroge/galge playing otaku Nagato with her bunny headphones.
Now Disappearance with that! |

While we're on the subject of near tear-inducing things...
I found out last week that I don't really enjoy manga all that much. I tried reading manga since I was running low on anime, and it's just not the same.
The only manga I enjoyed was "Bitter Virgin". I usually don't dip too much into those super tragic melancholic romance stories, but holy shit! The author used a good part of the 32 chapters to express the character's thoughts/emotions, and that worked out really well. The result is an amazing story with well developed characters, drama, and + Show Spoiler + ending. I recommend it (even if you don't usually read manga) unless you despise extremely dramatic sweet romance stories that touches slightly on some disturbing themes.
Btw, for anyone who's watching Phantom: does anyone have any anime that has a similar atmosphere to it? Someone mentioned Casshern Sins, and that was pretty nice. |

Yeah, Casshern is pretty awesome. One of the very few masterpieces this year (although it aired in winter so I'm not sure if it is 2008). I don't know whether it resembles Phantom that much though. The obvious recommendations would be Noir and Madlax, they are both very similiar to Phantom as Bee Train tend to focus on certain things. El Cazador de la Bruja should also be similiar, but I haven't seen it yet so I can't tell you if it is good or not. Darker Than BLACK also shares the similiar 'serious' atmosphere sometimes and is overall pretty good. Other than those four, I can't think of anything else right now.
Oh wait, Monster. That one is a 'must watch'. Even though it is quite long (around 70 episodes) I believe you'd appreciate it if you haven't seen it already nevake.Last edit: 2009-08-14 18:08:26 |

| Thanks I'll look at all of those. I was planning on seeing Noir at one point, but I guess I forgot about it. As for Monster, I tried watching it at the beginning of my anime watching spree but unfortunately it moved too slowly to just breeze through 30 episodes per day like I was doing at the time and I dropped it. I think to rewatch that I'd probably have to sit down and watch like 5 a day to fully enjoy it. I heard though that Monster's storyline is unmatched if you can get into it though. |

Saw the new episode of haruhi, it's SO refreshing for something new. Also we get the weirdest looking face ever.
+ Show Spoiler +
Actually after seeing the exact same facial expressions for eight episodes every one of Haruhi's facial expressions were weird looking. |
