K-ON was dissappointing. I think I made it like 5 episodes in before I decided I didnt care. It's all moeblob, but I didnt really find any of it interesting.

As for episode count, I couldn't find any reliable sources on it, but it seems indeed that it would be 13-ish, although Kyoani is rather known for 24... I think.
A look at KyoAni's works... FMP - 12 episodes Air - 13 episodes FMP:TSR - 13 episodes Haruhi - 14 episodes Kanon - 24 episodes Lucky Star - 24 episodes Clannad - 23+1 episodes Clannad after story - 24 episodes K-ON! - 13 (supposedly) episodes Haruhi S2 - 14 episodes (from my blog)
K-ON is great. Or I should say, KyoAni is great. Just look at the musical instruments they have.. they all have a brand on them. Those companies must have paid a crap-load of money to KyoAni to have them featured.

I read on /a/ that KyoAni were doing all the instruments all wrong.. don't know the exact details, link probably 404'd. But they were saying something about instruments not being true to the real life counterparts, etc.
Now everyone will know what bioboyAT's ad was about.
I'd say Tsumugi is my favorite, but by a very small margin. All the characters are enjoyable at certain times. My Love is a Stapler and Fuwafuwa Time are both tied for favorite song. My favorite show of this season.

jesus christ...sometimes the japanese sense of 'comedy'...*facepalms*...
"Oh no, we've drawn Judge Schneider" "Is that bad?" "Well, he's had it in for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog" "You did?" "Yeah...if you replace the word *kinda* with *repeatedly*...and the word *dog* with son"

Ahaha that ice cream scene was <3
That ending off part for 'My love is a stapler' in episode 8 made me so want to hear the full version of the song :3

considering this or lucky star are their weakest series... kyoani way too strong...
in fact i dont think i've skipped a single kyoani series
though j.c. staff has an even better track record for me, considering they did hachikuro and nodame (and the cg they did for fingering the instruments was crazy, mang)

TSR was definitely the weakest series among everything Kyoani has touched, though my standard is based on how much the goodness of the original work gets translated over, so it could just mean that TSR's novel version was that much better.
One can make an argument that Munto might be worse than TSR, I suppose, k-on and lucky star are definitely among the strongest, especially considering how k-on's voice cast are pretty much all rookies.
Konadora, why did you make this thread here instead of blogs? Bit curious, since unlike the only other anime thread I see in general (naruto), k-on isn't going to be running nearly as long. But I guess it has more than enough hype heh.

More like Kyoani has an eye for such things, I guess, it managed to bring out way more of the random things from lucky star than I thought possible.

i just judged on how entertaining they are, lucky star being the least for me (although it had all those random otaku references)
then again i watched TSR like five years ago when I was in middle school, so it might not be as entertaining to me now

Lucky Star requires an intimate knowledge of how that world works for you to find it truly amusing, considering the amount of otaku references from Konata and even Kagami, so yeah, definitely not approachable. TSR was good, just shitty in comparison to the book, they got the comedy from the short stories really well with Fumoffu, but TSR got a bit odd, Sousuke's character didn't come across as strongly. It is entertaining to watch random lambda drive fight scenes, though.
On the matter of TSR, I want my latest volume of full metal panic
