Thats true, but as Bisu himself said, all his recent losses were cause by strategic play, its not like he got outplayed badly or anything. I'm not making excuses for him ofc, he should have been prepared for any possible strat but then again Bisu has been a target man for like all other progamers ever since clubday msl |

As of now:
1. Jaedong - Beat EffOrt in OSL group; Much in GOM; doing well in PL; definite No1 if he gets out of MSL group
2. fantasy - 9-1 in Last 10 games with wins over Leta, Kal, and JangBi; 2-0ed MSL group; beat BackHo in OSL group
3. EffOrt - Lost to JD (that's okay), YellOw[ArnC](kind of okay), and IrOn (not okay); But he beat Violet 2-0 in GOM and is still in the MSL and OSL
4. Flash - Might have been No2 if he had beaten YellOw[ArnC]in his OSL group and BackHo in PL because he was on a 10 game winning streak before then; 2-0ed MSL group
5. Bisu - Lost to Hwasin and YellOw in PL, but also to go.go (who he chose) in his OSL group most importantly; however, he beat free and JangBi to get out of his MSL group
6. Leta - Lost to Light in PL and fantasy in MSL, but he can still get out of his group if he beats JD and Movie. Has been doing pretty well in PL and also destroyed by.hero with the most annoying play I have ever seen in a while.
7. Calm - Has been doing well in PL for a while as STX's ace with wins over mind, UpMaGiC, and ZerO, and 2-0ed his MSL group.
8. Kal - Has also been doing well, especially his PvP; 2-0ed his MSL group with wins against JangBi and free.
9. Canata - Not really used in PL (SKT should use him instead of BeSt imo), but won his first game in his OSL group against Kwanro and has a good shot at getting out of his MSL group.
10. Violet - Lost against JD and EffOrt and isn't in a starleague, but hasn't really shown that he should be off the PR just yet (and I can't think of anyone else to put on this spot. Maybe YellOw[ArnC]?).
And that is the opinion of a noob. Sorry for any errors.

| Movie and Pure deserve more consideration, imo. Especially if Movie gets out of his MSL group, which is not totally inconceivable. |

Still plenty of big games to come before this month's deadline imo so I think it's too early to call. I think Violet was hyped harder than even by.hero and Skyhigh just because of one winning streak with a lot of question marks so it's really not surprising he couldn't live up to it.
Jaedong's the favorite to 2-0 his loser's group but not exactly a gimme. If he drops the ball down the stretch, he would be losing the most pivotal games of a stellar month for him. I expect him to deliver though.
Bisu's stock rockets upward if he beats Leta and Hwasin for the night, which would put his OSL destiny in his hands and answer any questions about his PvT. If he loses to Hwasin on the other hand, you can't expect his PvT to be in shape for Fantasy over at the MSL so Bisu's stock would plummet hard.
Flash v Jaedong is going to be awesome, although I'm not sure if its outcome would significantly affect the PR. I'm really liking what I've seen of type-b's recent play but he'll probably lose to Fantasy sigh...
And HBR is shaping up to be the most balanced map of the century! Well maybe not but can't help poking fun at those Jaedong fans who were being overly dramatic after Bisu v Jaedong. |

As long as Jaedong safely qualified out of his OSL group, I don't think there's anything to keep him from #1. He is on top of his game, as evidenced by + Show Spoiler +last night's utter humiliation of Modesty in the PL. Fantasy would be #2, and either Flash or Effort for #3, depending on who qualifies out of the Group of Death in OSL. |

+ Show Spoiler +JD clear number 1. And for him it's not such a hard group. With two zergs (he is unbeatable in vZ)... |

Well, Jaedong is part of the reason it's a group of death, and with two other Zergs, it's more normal for him. If Yarnc qualified, then it would be much more impressive than JD qualifying. Nevertheless, Flash is dropping major spots in the PL, JD is undisputed #1, unless we take into account what happens the first week of July as well. |

The match at 08:00 KST today has some massive PR implications to be sure.
Last month I published the rank on the 11th, so this month I'm going to shoot for the 7th (PDT). One more month and the PR should be on schedule (published by the first)!Last edit: 2009-07-07 15:16:45 |
