The only thing that would justify such a price tag is OLED. Nothing else. Not even local dimming because you can get similarly sized local dimming sets from Sony and Sharp for over half the price less. The worst thing about the OP is that it didn't give a single piece of information for people to discuss on besides "look how thin it is!". Which isn't really a great thing if you really care about image quality.

This so much. In my opinion he was actually closer to being just a huge-ass fanboy than advertising, but generally if you go through his posts, they're nearly completely worthless. But maybe he was just that big of a fan. I can imagine a room with samsung wallwallpaper, desktop wallpaper, samsung flags, tons of samsung electronics, samsung floor tiles, and he's sitting there dressed with samsung polo shirt, samsung shorts, samsung branded watch, and samsung underwear sticking out the back. And suddenly he sees the news about an ultra-thin 75" samsung lcd tv.
Fanboy is one thing (even though he's quite ignorant if you know a single thing about the technology he talks about). Being nationalistic and arguably racist is another thing. Go through his post history. If he has a chance to trash China, Taiwan, and (especially) Japan he will do it. Whaling, women, technology. Doesn't matter.
He loves LG and Samsung. They're both South Korean. He thinks Asus and Benq (both Taiwanese IIRC) make trash monitors that are far worse than anything Samsung and LG. Though anyone with a basic understanding of monitor technology knows Asus is pretty good and not really any better/worse than Samsung and LG.
He says he likes Dell, which is strange because their only good monitor lineup is the Ultrasharp lineup. I think the only time he's ever mentioned liking them is whenever someone called him out on being biased.
Then you've got that HTC One X (HTC is a Taiwanese company) vs. GS3 blog spot that got him banned in the first place.
I mean go ahead be a fanboy. A fanboy can still admit that Flash can be extremely stupid and Fantasy was pretty trash for most of the 2010-2011 season. But don't post trash threads that have close to zero room for discussion and don't be so intentionally hard headed when someone calls you out on your bullshit.
