In any case, I think the criticism of the OP was justified: The thread started off completely contentless except for a link and "SEEMS BIG", then he later copy/pasted some actual contents in. Which would also tend to make me think that the guy just threw together the fastest possible post so that he could have the honor of opening the first thread on the topic. |

the alternative obviously being 4 different people seeing the article, searching TL to check that no-one else has posted and then meticulously putting together 4 different beautiful OPs and all posting them within a minute, then the mods having to close 3 of them.
the system works, if he never adds content he gets banned, but as long as he keeps the thread up to date there's no problem. |

The "hit and run" thread starters should get punished (the ones that start a thread and then never update or post in it) but the ones that keeps updating and/or contribute to the thread I see no problem with. Posting quickly so people can see and then adding more content I don't see as a major issue. |

In Norway we have a word for that; "snerk". It's a really disgusting sounding word, describing a really disgusting thing. I'm sure any other Norwegian you meet can attest to this. I wonder if that comment was where this "iNcontrol is fat" meme started. It may be that I knew he's a powerlifter from the first intro I heard for him, but to me the guy's always looked like a heavyweight powerlifter. |
