SNSD's Paparazzi is kinda boring :S The best part were the intro and the ending, cause it was over. (Just kidding, but it's not far from the truth).
For some reason, I really get the impression that SNSD is just surfing on their acquired popularity from way back in S.Korea and their first album in Japan? The MV is all bling bling, just nine girls in fancy (some fugly like sooyoung's outfit) outfits dancing in the street, and in some studio. I somewhat am reminded of the same MV structure as Hoot. Lots of short close-up cuts of dancing.
The song has an overall nice beat to it, but it's missing a lot of proper build-up between parts. At some points, the song and choreography slow down a lot, which was probably done to bring in some diversity and pronounce the faster/up-tempo parts like the chorus, but it was done a bit too much somewhat, that it eventually made it a bit boring in my opinion. It feels as if they had a lot of ideas when they were producing the song and just put them together, which kinda shows in the fact that they seemed to want to pronounce the chorus, but then still put parts in between the choruses that had stronger beats and tempo. Transitions were decent, even though there weren't any at some points when needed, like the abrupt finish after the first chorus. The transition from the bridge to the last chorus was well done, but I really hate using the sounds 'ratata' though. It reminds me of another song that has scarred me.
Choreo-wise, it felt like the dance, and the song at some points too, as mentioned before, just slowed down to nothing and was just boring, while at other parts, the choreo was way too active and too detailed. A good way to comparing this would be riding in a tunnel and out of it. The contrast between the darkness in the tunnel and the light when leaving the tunnel is just too big that it hurts. We'll probably be able to see better during the live performances, but all I can say is that they use a lot of different lines, sometimes on different levels at the same time, and I kinda like it (circle wtf ? haha), but it's hard to pull off well and they really picked the most sh!tty 'line-up' for the beginning of their chorus, when they're all heaped up, cause combined with their dance moves, it ends up looking really messy. (But I guess we'll have to see during the performances how that turns out 'irl'.)
Overall, I'd say this song had potential, but they kinda botched it, a bit like 'the boys', but this time, they didn't mess up as badly. Chorus is just underwhelming compared to some other parts of the song.
This 'Paparazzi' is way more superior.

Btw, SNSD is a bad influence for any children when it comes to creating the right vision on a healthy weight. They are either way too fat or way too skinny.
Now that we're past the MV part. I want to reiterate how fcking dumb most sones are. They fight with other fan groups of the same ent. company and they even are divided in their own factions (V-Sones...).
Four things to do IMO: - Fix Sunny's hair. It's fcking ugly. - Give Jessica more sweet lines. - Give a portion of Yuri's food to Sooyoung. - Re-educate all the sones!

Oh boy here it comes. Regarding their weight though, imho there is not a single kidol out there who is legitimately overweight. Maybe for your taste (maybe you were just exaggerating for comedic effect?), but they are all well within healthy weight in terms of being overweight--some of them do approach the dangerously underweight though afaik.

Which ones are fat? I must have watched the wrong MV
And thanks for that MV you linked, I enjoyed it.

I'm done flying out to concerts for the year though. Will hit up SMT NY (not announced but should be this year still) but thats it I think.
I'd hope 2pm does some older stuff as well. Hands up is ok but I liked their debut song and again and again alot more.
Come to think of it 2pm Jay era was a lot better. Not just cause of him but cause musically the shit they were doing was better.
If I was remotely close I'd go cause that lineup is basically tailored for me. Pretty much all the boy bands I like (all you need is Big Bang and CN Blue really) and alot of the female ones I like as well.
Add Big Bang and CN Blue and that line-up just isn't fair.
Oh boy did someone just write an essay on Paparazzi? No thanks. =/
After hearing Mr. Bang Bang quite a bit I must say I enjoy the song, something is missing I think but overall I approve.

It's called a joke. Some say that Yuri is too fat, so I made a joke out of it, cause she's clearly not too fat. Yourself questioning wether it was true and the fact that I said something about kpop in relation to the vision of kids regarding healty weight in this thread, should've tipped you off.

Well yeah that's why it's probably the best lineup for me realistically (I'd probably take SNSD out unless they agree to do Gee and replace 4minute with GSD/APink/T-ara but otherwise those are pretty much all my favorite bands that are big enough to do a concert here.

You wrote an essay for an SNSD MV. I had to take you seriously.

Yeah, I guess you have a point there, but I probably wrote less than what some of you have written about the MV in multiple posts. Now that I've said it all, I don't have to come back to it again and if you call that an essay, you should see the books I write for university.
