FPS: Only if you really really have to - especially since the XSplit FPS seems to cap SC2 ingame (on low end rigs). So if you can live with playing at 25 FPS, go for it. Own3d: I think so, but I don't remember - I use twitch.tv 99% of the time. Check their website

Well I actually had JTV account too so I tried there, http://www.twitch.tv/thezftw/b/296686901 Edit. Here's another clip, changed some stuff.. http://www.twitch.tv/thezftw/b/296688578 , Still not quite there.
Random FFA goofing but you need to skip half the video because some guy DC right at the start..
That was @ 30 FPS but the outcome clearly ain't 30 :o Game was playable tho
Also,
It's of course possible my connection isn't up for it, but xsplit usually doesn't consume all the bandwidth. I'm satisfied with the resolution as it's exactly half of my monitors native, and such most texts should still be readable.
Eitherway, ingame is the huge deal

30 fps is gigantic, you should really go for 15 or 20 with your setup. fps is the biggest thing that will lag you ingame.

No, I respectfully disagree. 30 FPS is what you want to aim for. If you can't get it, lower it to 25 and then lower your resolution before FPS. A 15 FPS stream is visibly choppy to watch. And stream FPS is directly related to ingame FPS, due to the way screen capture works, especially on low end rigs. You want it as high as you can get it (to a certain point of course). Please read up on XSplit forums (ie. here http://www.xsplit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=918) and partly this very guide and this one: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=220584

I just dealt with a change from my cpu+mobo+ram+50€ to phenom II X4 965 BE (used), AM3 board (new) and 4gb ddr3 (new) ram. Should be sufficient enough until Bulldozers come out and are reviewed by trustworthy sites. Gonna get the stuff later this week/next monday, gonna try again then if it's any better.

Sounds like a good trade. FYI: Intel Core2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz: Passmark: 2251 AMD Phenom II X4 965: Passmark: 4289 Source: http://www.xsplit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=918
For reference, I do a 800p stream with 5566 passmark (i7 920).

I already have decent cooler I can use with the phenom so I'll probably OC it some as well.
So it's probably possible to hit 720p. But eitherway, 600p is the minimum I'm aiming.

Hi all, Been trying around with Xsplit but have had issues along the way, getting viewers telling me its stuttering or lagging at battles.
Setup: i7 2600k 2x 480 sli 16gb 1600 ram Internet is 40 down and 10 up (38.8 and 9.6 on speedtest.net) ms is 40ish
Xsplit settingsHave tried both in 1080p and 720p)
1080p Quality:10 Bitrate:3000 - 5000 is whats tried. vbuffer: tried at both 7000 and 3500 Encoding preset(Default) Tried superfast also without any change. fps:30
720 Dont get as much stutter here, but it happens Quality:10 Bitrate:1500-3000 Tried all of them vbuffer: either tried double or the same amount as bitrate, fps:30 Encoding preset(Default) Tried superfast also.
The 720 stream doesnt lag any special. but If I could have greater quality without any downsides that would be great. Could anyone help me with this problem? as you might have figured out, I'm not a stream expert x)

Well, your rig definitely is not cramping you (16GB RAM? Who needs that? ), so I would imagine it's a network issue. I have 8Mb up, but speedtest servers and jtv servers aren't necessarily the same, and I can only afford about a 2Mbps bitrate. vbuffer I don't know, I just set it to double. The other thing is the quality, if you set your quality too high for your bitrate you may experience some stuttering, so you need to experiment. Have you tried streaming at 1080p with about 2k bitrate and 6 quality? That's what works for me.

Heya, thought i'd look for some help. I'm having great issues with streaming, I think my computer should be fine for it but obviously something isnt working out.
My rig:
i5 3,2ghz 8gb 1600mhz ram gtx 560
My internet is 100/10MB/s so I dont think this should be the problem either, but what do I know.
My settings are:
Quality = 6 Bitrate = 2000 Buffer = 2000 With my resolution being 1280x720 (HDTV)
I dont know why but I keep getting ~20fps ingame while streaming, no matter the graphics option ingame. ;_;

Heya, umm I tried your settings now and it felt like it was getting better atleast. But shortly after the fps was "locked" at around 20:ish. I have these settings now ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/40/streamyo.png/ ) where as my fps was set to 25. I dont understand why it's doing this as I've seen someone with worse computer than me pulling 60fps constantly ,_,

Your CPU isn't the best, but for a low res. stream you should be fine. In this case, it might be related to your gpu as well - what kind of FPS do you have while not streaming? Edit: Can you post a VOD?

Try a 480p / 30 fps / 1000 kbit/s. For an additional reference you might wanna try out FME too.
