Hi, I've been using this monitor for quite a while now, its a viewsonic VX2453mh-LED.
It doesn't bother me very much at all, but I am forced to put a resolution of 1804x1014
My graphics card is a gtx 560 ti, and I am running a hdmi cable into the monitor. Whenever I put it in 1920x1080, it simply doesn't fit my monitor, I can't see everything on the screen. I have looked around on the nvidia drivers but haven't been able to find a way to make it work.
This is not a major problem however I'd be interested to know if I'm not the only one with this issue and is there a solution?

Just an idea, but have you tried setting your res to 1920x1080 and then auto-configuring your monitor? I'm no expert but if your screen size is in fact 1080, then it seems like there is an incorrect DPI setting somewhere.

there doesn't seem to be a auto-configure button anywhere. I have tried a lot of the options in nvidia's control center and a lot of them just don't change a thing.

Unfortunately I can't give much advice since I don't have this monitor, but try going in to the monitor's menu with the buttons on the right side. My screen has a bunch of adjustment options. Until someone else who has had this sort of problem before posts, all I can suggest is to try adjust all the settings in the monitor's menu.

@OP: I think Havok is referring to an auto-configure button in the monitor's menu. Your monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080 so I would suggest you reset your monitor's settings to default and set the input to auto-detect.

What EnSky said, and also there is some options in your Nvidia program to detect your monitor something.

Found the answer at least for my monitor/tv. I was having the exact same problem and this was how I fixed it.
On the monitor, goto Menu. Search for an option to switch between Video and PC modes. Mine was on Video when I was using the monitor previously with VGA cables.
I hope that helps someone out there because I was thinking of you.

i fucking thank you !!!!! that was the problem changing the from VIDEO to PC in the monitor settings =)
